Yes, that is a fact and not enough discussion happens to change it, and it’s a desperate place for pets in so many cases. I remember that Maine animal welfare laws were dismal to the point of useless. In one situation where I rescued a dog chained and abandoned, the owner had left no food or water, and this GSD was in such a horrific state that there was no saving him. At that time, the law stated that an animal owner had to have the appropriate food and water on the premises, but the get out clause that the law didn’t require to GIVE IT TO THEM resulted in abusers not being charged and more animals being neglected, and abused. It’s changed now, but I’m still furious.

I really hope that Attorney Foster petitions the judge overseeing this case to serve Lulu Brown with multiple sentences for what she has done. Not sentences served concurrently, but sentences that are served individually, because each of those deaths and each of those animals she caused great suffering to deserve that she pay for what she did to them. A lifetime ban on any animals in her possession, vicinity, or home would also be appropriate. And I have real concerns for the welfare of any children residing in her home because abuse, neglect and torture can be done to anyone, and such actions are rarely singular events.

Please prosecute canine perpetrator Lulu Brown to the maximum extent of the law and beyond. Please provide full justice for the poor mother dog that was severely malnourished and was forced to watch while her puppies starved in front of her own eyes while they were all literally freezing to death. Animal abuser Lulu Brown needs to punished by not allowing this depraved person to ever own any animal again; place this cruel individual on all local and national animal abuser registries; fine Lulu Brown maximum penalties and fines; lock Brown up for the longest duration of time possible; and do not allow time off served early or for so-called false good behavior. These dogs will never fully recover as this inhumane and cold treatment was perpetrated intentionally and without mercy, as this inhuman person did not step in to intervene or to help in any way whatsoever. Lulu Brown could have called the animal shelter or someone to assist when it all started. This is the most serious neglect imaginable and those puppies did NOT deserve to die so tragically.
