Goal: Justly punish man who allegedly killed cat by forcefully slamming animal against a pole and the ground many times.
Police arrested Jesus Jose Vega for reportedly hitting a cat against the ground and a nearby pole multiple times. He needs to receive the maximum punishment if he is found guilty to better ensure other animals in the surrounding area will remain safe.
Vega was quickly arrested after police talked to witnesses about the alleged incident. The cat was reportedly hurt so badly, the animal died as a result of the injuries.
Vega is being held on a $10,000 bond. Since animal cruelty is considered a felony in Texas, he could receive a maximum fine of $10,000 and a 10-year prison sentence if it is discovered he mistreated this helpless cat. Sign this petition to demand Vega be given the longest prison sentence possible, as well as the most fines allowed for this crime, if it is found he abused this innocent creature.

Dear District Attorney Rosales,
Jesus Jose Vega was arrested after it was alleged he brutally smacked a cat against the ground and a pole numerous times. It is important that he receive the harshest penalty possible in order to stop him from hurting other innocent animals if he is found guilty of this crime.
After witnesses told authorities what allegedly happened, Vega was immediately arrested. The cat sustained so many injuries from the reported mistreatment that he did not survive. The pain that this animal must have felt when the alleged incident took place is unthinkable.
Vega will remain in jail unless a $10,000 bond is paid for his release. However, other animals, including pets, may be in danger if he is found guilty and released too soon. Studies have also shown that people who abuse animals oftentimes later severely hurt or kill people. We therefore demand you seek an entire 10- year prison sentence for Vega and that you further tell the courts that he should be required to pay no less than a $10,000 fine if it is found he committed this inexcusable act of animal cruelty.

Jesus Jose Vega committed a vicious and violent crime against an innocent small animal. I commend the fact that he is being held on 10,000 bond. Where as there is a witness to this crime, Jesus Jose Vega should receive maximum penalty under Texas felony animal cruelty Laws.
