Andrew Callaway has been sentenced to spend 12 years in prison for having beaten and stomped a boxer puppy named Diesel so violently that he had to be euthanized. Both of Diesel’s hips and legs were severely fractured. Veterinarians had hoped to save his life by performing a series of operations, but ultimately the decision was made to humanely end his suffering.

As you are aware, a puppy was subjected to a cruel and untimely death after a Wylie area man named Andrew Callaway threw him against the wall and stomped him to death, crushing the lower half of his body. This horrendous crime sent shock waves of grief and outrage throughout the community and worldwide. While there is no punishment severe enough to right this awful wrong, your decision to seek the harshest possible sentence for Mr. Callaway was the best way to ensure that justice would be served.
The fact that Callaway has been found guilty and will now spend the next 12 years in prison not only means that he will be unable to cause harm to any animals during this time, it also sends an important message to other would-be animal abusers. We, the undersigned, want to thank you for making sure that this act of extreme cruelty did not go unpunished.

Finally someone standing up for innocent animals. I hope a really big guy in prison does to that abuser the same thing he did to that precious puppy and he can never walk again.

This is great news. I hope someone in jail beats the living piss out of the scumbag and shows him what it feels like to be beat to death. It sad because that poor puppy suffered and had a sort life never knowing what it was like to be loved, it really breaks my heart.

That is awful that jerk needs to be thrown up against the wall and stomped on. Actually that wouldnt be harsh enough. Hang him. He needs to be punished. That poor baby didnt deserve any of that.

Your victory is reminiscent of an old Law and Order episode, in which the woman DA had a case in which an elderly woman’s little dog was thrown into freeway traffic by some teenagers. The DA’s first instinct was to phone it in and go on her weekend, but something inspired her to fight hard. And the smirks of the teenage boys disappeared as the DA won the case for the old lady and people of New York.

Thank the judge who pronounced this sentence. Sentences of this length should be the norm and not an uncommon occurrence in all animal abuse cases. Nothing will ever change unless laws have bite and sentences fit the crime. This brute deserves an even longer sentence, imo, but if he serves ALL 12 years without getting off for good behavior or any other reason, I’ll be satisfied for now.
