Goal: Find and arrest person responsible for terrible abuse of four abandoned dogs.
Four dogs found wandering the streets were so malnourished and dehydrated that their spine and ribs were showing. Their snouts had wounds from being bound shut, they had head wounds, and appeared to have recently given birth.
All four dogs were pit bulls and authorities suspect that they were a part of a puppy mill operation.
“They’re all friendly. They have an odor of maybe being in a dirt cellar or in a barn,” said Salem Animal Control Officer Don Famico.
When asked why these four dogs might have been abandoned, Officer Famico explained, “They keep the pups, sell off the pups, then get rid of the older dogs that are not longer of use to them.”
All four of the dogs are now receiving veterinary care, including regular intravenous fluids. While they are expected to recover, their abuser is currently walking the streets.

It is all too often that law enforcement doesn’t devote the resources necessary to find and capture animal abusers. We are asking that you don’t let that happen in this case. These four innocent creatures deserve justice. Please devote all resources necessary to find and arrest the person, or persons, responsible for this abuse.

Puppy mill or dog fighters, both lowlife scum who abuse animals for profit. We have to get serious about finding these people and taking them out of society, they degrade us all and the horrific abuse animals suffer from cowards like this is unconscionable. Find them, prosecute, send them away and lifetime ban on being within a mile of any animal. Or never let them out, juts lose them in the system forever.

Although they are now up for adoption, thank God, the owners should be punished for their crime, don’t you think?
They themselves could have taken them to an adoption center instead of leaving them to fend for themselves, where they could have been hurt by a car or one of those drugged-out bums that live on the streets…
Whoever did that certainly deserves a fine and jail.

Fine and jail? That’s what you think would be justice for those innocent dogs? That is exactly why people do evil things to innocent animals – there is pretty much no true justice, no deterrent like being beat to death with a Karma bat or tied to a tree and starved.
The “fine” should be considerable – perhaps wipe out the “puppy mill” if that’s where they’d been used. The fine should cover the medication, vet treatment, surgery, fostering, homing, future medical bills, food, bedding, toys together with a sizeable donation to a local animal charity/shelter: I’m not talking a measly $1,000 either. A fine to match the crime [$50,000 per animal] then a huge additional loading which would effectively wipe out their business, whether puppy mills or the equally ghastly fighting dogs situation.
Until the lawmakers and the courts stop awarding animal abusers a “slap on the wrist” and start taking these heinous crimes really seriously by imposing meaningful penalties as well as a prison-sentence, I’m afraid that this level of appalling cruelty will continue.
Time to get serious.
Time to get heavy.
Time to save the dogs.

The laws that protect animals should be the same for the whole country: a fine and imprisonment of not less than 10 years. All animal breeders should be subject also to the same rules and if they break them, in addition to being penalized and their licenses revoked, they should be placed on parole and closely monitored. As for clandestine breeders, they should be subject to jail time, and a fine. That’s my humble opinion!

So sick of these horror stories of animals being abused for profit and dumped or killed when no longer useful to the low life scum that’s out there collecting lots of money of these innocent animals and most are probably collecting welfare as well. Whoever is responsible for this needs to be severely punished! And I mean more than a slap on the wrist and being told they can’t own another animal for six months!! This is sickening and horrible abuse! Lord knows if anything even remotely close to this ever happened to a human being, the person responsible would be locked up for life (or a good portion of it)! Laws seriously need to change to protect these poor, defenseless animals. God bless these sweet little angels for having to endure such horrific abuse.
