Dogs Reportedly Shot in Face and Beaten Until Their Bones Snapped Deserve Justice

Target: Dave Sunday, District Attorney of York County, PA

Goal: Seek stronger charges and penalties against accused animal abusers and killers.

A miniature dachshund suffers broken ribs and a collapsed lung. A man pleads guilty to beating his pet dog with a baton. A suspect in a different case pleads no contest to shooting his pet dog in the face. These horrific crimes have two commonalities. They all took place in York County, Pennsylvania. And not one of the guilty parties was sentenced to a day in jail.

All three of the guilty or no contest pleas in these aggravated animal cruelty cases resulted in probation. While some of the suspects were prohibited from contact with pets for a period of time, none of them received the kind of penalty that would have really mattered. In fact, prosecutors seemed to go out of their way to drop more severe charges that may have resulted in jail or prison time.

Sign the petition below to demand these legal leaders stop giving violent animal abusers an easy pass.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Sunday,

A local newspaper article recently confirmed that cases of animal cruelty are significantly on the rise in York County. With the lax approach the legal system is seemingly taking toward these crimes, it seems little wonder that abusers are not apparently worried about a future behind bars. Within the past several months, the York County prosecutor’s office has let a man who admitted to beating his dog with a baton, a man who pleaded no contest to shooting his dog in the face, and a man accused of giving his dog a collapsed lung and broken ribs walk free with legal slaps on the wrist.

Please stop giving out plea and probation deals to violent criminals, as if they are candy. The next time they appear before you, it may be for an even bigger tragedy that you could have prevented.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. These fucking disgusting dirtbag animal abusers should have the hands cut off and shut down their fucking throat

  2. FIND THOSE MONSTERS WHO DID THIS TO THAT POOR DOG ND SHOOT THEM TOO. SO THEY CAN FEEL WHAT THEY DID TO THAT POOR SWEETIE.

  3. Rebecca Owings says:

Give them each 10 years in the slammer or allow all the petitioners to do the same to them. Listen up authorities, do something or face justice too (“bye bye to your jobs”).

    Dear Mr Sunday:
As USUAL the violent aggressors of almost all
Animal abuse are males. This gender is so full of rage and hate and violence now against all the vulnerable populations. Animals, elderly, women, children & infants. These MONSTERS need to be prosecuted and never let out of prison. Why isn’t this being done?

  5. Goid God… what monster exists to do this? Rot in jail, then in hell.

  6. John+Booth says:

These sick psychos should lose the right to live. If you do this you are a danger and society is better off without these sadists.

  7. May all those who abuse or torture animals suffer a slow horrible painful torturous death before they rot in hell!

  8. Why are people like this still living???
    Torture them to death!!!!

  9. Laura Rolder says:

Shame on the justice system for failing theses innocent animals. No living being should ever be abused animal or humans and if they are . The abusers need to be locked away from society so others will be safe. Such a disgrace that a slap on the wrist is considered punishment enough for such horrific crimes. Lock animal abusers away!! To bad they cannot get the death penalty because they dont deserve to live.

  10. they need to be forced to pay for all expenses and they need to be shot in the face and have their ribs beaten until they come undone. Until these assholes that abuse animals experience what they do, they will never stop and think it is funny to pick on something that cannot fight back. They need to be jailed for a long time as they are NOT productive members of society.

  11. Susan Kulikowski says:

York County, Pennsylvania is Amish Country. Don’t know if these men are Amish, but the Amish have a history of being cruel to their animals. I’m just wondering if these horrible men are Amish. But, if they aren’t they still should be jailed. Animals can’t take care of themselves and depend on their owners for food, water and a decent home. Throw the darn book at these low-lifes, not just a slap on the wrist.

  12. C. Davis says:

We need to start punishing with eye for an eye treatment ! This would stop people from hurting innocent animals that cannot defend themselves ! Something has to be done to STOP THIS !!!

  13. Each one of the demon monster perpetrators should have the exact same thing done to them. Give them first hand understanding of how horrific, unmerciful and heinous their crime was! This is JUSTICE! HAVE DONE TO YOU, WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO OTHERS.

  14. Rose Coffey says:

If we don’t start punishing the people who commit these horrendous crimes against animals to the utmost we’re never going to be able to stop them. Animal abuse should result in immediate prison time or time served in a mental institution.

  15. Only humans are capable of making demonic decisions. This planet and all its species would be so much better off without a great deal of those that call themselves human yet commit such atrocities. And for the lawyers and judge(s) and or jury that gave them probation; cut them plea deals, you are just as guilty as you just supported the ones that committed the abuse by giving them a slap on the wrist.

  16. My gut reaction is to agree with the comments wanting to inflict the same treatment on the perpetrators as they inflicted on these poor animals. But, reason eventually takes over. We must work on the lical and state levels in every state to change attitudes towards animal abuse. This means working to change town, city, county and state policies, laws and regulations so that animal abuse is treated as a more serious crime, with more severe penalties. Police, prosecutors, judges, legislators, city officials must take this seriously. Having said all this , my first reaction is still hang ‘em high!

  17. Debra Spurrier says:

Of course they got off with only probation. Because our laws are a f’ing joke when it comes to protecting the other animals. Never is there justice for them. Never. So these sociopathic pieces of human sh*t are never held accountable for the most horrific unspeakable crimes they commit against the nonhumans. So another day, another petition to sign to try to get some joke-of-a-pittance of justice for the victim(s).

  18. I strongly agree with everyone. These heartless monsters deserve to be shot in the face, beaten, and thrown off high-rise balconies! This would be true justice for all of the poor fur babies who died this way or had to endure unnecessary abuse. I strongly agree that our legal system everywhere needs to put these monsters in prison or better yet, the electric chair!

  19. This CRUEL ABUSER NEEDS TO BE SHOT IN HIS FACE THEN BEATEN WITH A BASEBALL BAT UNTIL EVERY BONE IN ITS MISERABLE BODY HAS BEEN BROKEN IN MUTIPLE PIECES!!!!

  20. Sweetondogs says:

Our justice system is a joke. These pathetic prosecutors are more concerned with getting a “win” than they are with actually instilling justice! U all know damn good and well that these monsters are going to do things like this again because they know there are no consequences to their actions. Be better York County, these dogs didn’t ask for any of this. They are defenseless and depend on us to take care of their every need!
