Acting on information from local residents, officers successfully located the litter and reunited them with their mother. Authorities emphasize that the forced displacement may violate Ukraine’s animal welfare laws protecting companion animals from abandonment and cruelty. Investigators are currently reviewing community surveillance footage and gathering witness statements to confirm each suspect’s role.
