A three-year-old Siberian husky named Simba was reportedly lured and then viciously attacked in the early morning hours. Circulating CCTV clips allegedly show the dog first being played with and then struck with stones and a wooden stick. The dog was later purportedly found stuffed in a garbage bag. A caretaker has filed a complaint, and police say the accused attacker is currently absconding.
Authorities registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Section 325 and relevant provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. According to officials and rescuers, Simba’s friendly behavior was met with shocking violence that ended in his death—an outcome that calls for decisive legal action.
