Dead and Dying Kittens Apparently Smeared in Feces and Urine in Plastic Bin Deserve Justice

Target: Ashley Moody, Attorney General of Florida

Goal: Prosecute and ensure severe penalties for the alleged abuse and neglect of seven cats.

In a deeply disturbing incident in Largo, Florida, seven kittens were allegedly subjected to extreme abuse and neglect. This situation came to light when Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged a 37-year-old man, following a distressing discovery at a local animal shelter. Allegedly, this man surrendered a plastic bin and a suitcase to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, containing five dead cats and two others in critical condition. The cats, all under 18 months old, were reportedly found “wet to the touch” and smeared in feces and urine. One of the two surviving kittens was seemingly in such a dire state that euthanasia was deemed the only humane option. The other exhibited a life-threatening internal temperature of 106 degrees Fahrenheit, illustrating the severity of its apparent suffering.

Further investigation revealed that these cats had allegedly been under the man’s care for over a week, during which time their conditions drastically deteriorated. He reportedly claimed to have taken up the responsibility for a friend who was away, only to surrender them to the SPCA when he apparently grew tired of their care. The containers used for this reportedly cruel act were not only inappropriate, but evidently contributed to the animals’ severe distress and demise. Detectives believe the kittens were alive and well before being confined, highlighting the alleged negligence that led to their suffering.

This heartbreaking case underscores the urgent need for stricter animal welfare laws and enforcement. The apparent callousness and disregard for the well-being of these innocent animals demand a strong legal response. The severity of this alleged crime warrants thorough prosecution to ensure such acts of cruelty are met with the full force of the law. Take immediate and decisive action.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Ashley Moody,

We are deeply troubled by the alleged abuse and neglect of seven young cats in Largo, as reported by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The details of this case, involving the reportedly severe mistreatment and subsequent death or euthanasia of these animals, are profoundly distressing. Allegations suggest that the man responsible for their care chose to confine them in a manner leading to their suffering and death. This action allegedly resulted in conditions so dire that one cat had to be euthanized upon rescue, and another suffered from life-threatening conditions.

The community looks to you for justice in this harrowing case. The allegations against the accused, including seven counts of aggravated animal abuse, highlight a grievous disregard for life and welfare. The facts, as reported, suggest these innocent animals were subjected to unimaginable suffering due to neglect and improper care. Their treatment under his care, as described, demands not just our collective outrage but a legal response that reflects the seriousness of these alleged acts.

We urge you to pursue this case with the utmost rigor and to seek penalties that not only serve justice but also deter similar acts of cruelty in the future. The protection of vulnerable animals relies on the enforcement of our laws and the message sent by their application. We implore you to ensure that this case receives the attention it deserves, leading to a resolution that affirms our community’s commitment to compassion and justice.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Do the same thing to this devil. Who cares if he survives! If he does, prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

I just cannot believe how evil some humans are. These people should be subjected to the same conditions as the animals which they abuse.

Hopefully he gets the maximum punishment let’s see he killed 7 kitten so that’s 49 years of prison time, let’s hope the judge does their job!! I don’t even know why we have a felony law for animal abuse when no one follows it they’re a bunch of weak people in the system that’s why it continues to happen

Yep! I believe people who abuse and kill animals should be euthanized because they do it their entire lives, and also abuse children and women!!!

  3. Things are going to get a lot better for animals. It may take a few generations for the news to reach Florida but this do nothing attitude to those brought before a court law in any county, state, or territory in America will face the full force of the law. This is the only crime worth putting the abuser to sleep!
Everyday Americans are getting fed up, tired, of those who ought to be brought up for criminal trial based on what they did to innocent animals. There is no excuse for this treatment or their evil actions. There is no reason for anyone to act in such a hateful manner. If people can’t learn compassion towards others then maybe the threat of their own suffering will change their minds.

    • There are two problems. The girst is that a lot of people hate or despise animals or ar least consider them an inconvenience to be quickly gotten rid of:.hense this man’s apparent total neglect of them.I would venture to say starting with maybe the third day under his care he got tired of the work and started not letting them out if the bin …Ilk bet he just threw some fucking kibble in the bin and then slammed the lid….I’ll bet he punched a few holes firvaur …but they were trapped in the bin and had to urinate and defecate in there. Then he actually had the audacity to surrender the bin to the shelter like thar was acceptable behavior….. and sadly in this country IT IS acceptable…..that’s because of THE SECOND primary problem with animal treatment in this country…..thebfact that animals are not considered serious firms of life.. only humans are. legally animals are considered PROPERTY.. . sivwhen people hurt mutilate or kill them to these lawmakers and judges mist of whom don’t want to rock the boat because they got their jobs through nepotism ir associations…..to these lawmakers these laws give them the reason to not do anything.

  4. Can you imagine what is gonna go down when his friend gets back who TRUSTED this asshole to care for them? How well did this person know this asshole? God I hope he wasn’t some new BF that the girl had just met and left the cats with him thinking he was a good guy! I’d have my bat handy if it was me. CRACK!!!!!!!!!

My God! I can’t imagine the pain, the terror of those poor little kittens! Why can’t evil sons of bitches like this just be killed? Take that bag of shit to the woods, shoot him in the head and leave him for buzzard food! Feeding the buzzards is the only thing this shit bag is good for! If Florida or any other state doesn’t have the kahunas, then I’ll gladly volunteer my time and ammo! Damnit! Until there is true justice for animal abuse, torture and killing, this crap will continue! Why don’t prosecutors and judges realize this?????

  6. This is not quite the same thing….doing this to fur babies is WAY worse although plants are living beings also…but my BF and I worked on a cruise ship for 6 months and asked his brother and GF to come in and look after our plants…you know..pretty easy…once a week come in and water them. When we got back we discovered that they had all been placed in our dark bathroom in the tub so they could just turn on the faucet and water them that way. I’m sure they weren’t coming by once a week either. Because most were all dead! I could not believe they had done that! Then come to find out his stupid Mother who I did not get along with had suggested to them to do that to make it even easier for them. I was PISSED!

    • I do get what you are saying. Lazy assholes like that should not have pets. When i get hired to take care of someones pet i also do the plants and they do not even ask me to! Comes naturally to me to take care of living things.

  7. WTF???????

Humans could learn a thing or two about love and compassion from animals. This cruelty is heartbreaking.

  9. Why is that piece of mindless weed treated as human when that piece of shit is not
Lock it up and give it the same treatment as these defenseless innocent cats.
Remove this insane sadist from this earth. It adds nothing.
Lock it up until it is broken!!!

  10. This is a fucking joke. They will never get justice. We and others found kittens in same situation years ago and thank goodness all kittens survived.

Please seek the max for this excuse of a “human” being

Thanks very much in advance for hopefully doing your job

HERE WE GO AGAIN, ANOTHER NASTY PIECE OF WORK (I AM BEING POLITE).
YES ANOTHER WASTE OF SPACE ON THIS PLANET.
PLEASE WILL SOMEONE DO SOMETHING TO PROTECT ALL ANIMALS FROM THESE EVIL, WICKED EXCUSES FOR `HUMANS`.

PUNISHMENTS DEALT OUT ARE NEVER STRONG ENOUGH AND THERE IS NEVER, EVER ENOUGH EFFORT PUT INTO FINDING THEM.

YOU TAKE THE WAGES, THEN DO THE JOB PROPERLY. MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF THESE WICKED, EVIL PEOPLE AND NOW!!

    • Avatar photo Johnny K. says:

      Nicole,
Why don’t you “do something”? People like you always want someone else to “do something” because you don’t have the guts to “do something” yourself. People come on this site and want the animal abusers put in jail, fined, never own animals again and even killed. But they always, always want other people to do the deed. Most, like 99.9%, of people are “all talk and no action”. That’s why nothing ever gets done when it comes to animal abusers. But I guess it makes people feel like they’re really doing something when they come on here and advocate for all kinds of bad things to happen to the perpetrator. “All talk and no action”.

      • Avatar photo Amy weaver says:

If I was a judge, I’d be executing them all and trust me in a couple years of executing a bunch of people it would stop really quick! It’s up to the judges. It’s up to the courts supposed to be a felony with seven years, but none of the judges do their damn job they get a slap on the hand and they get six months probation and then they do it again.

      • And just would YOU do???

And for that matter, what DO you do in that regard?

  13. I hope the book is thrown at him. Needs the same treatment.needs prison time.no more possessions of animals.

  14. PUT THIS CRUEL & ABUSIVE ASSHOLE INTO A PLASTIC BAG FILLED WITH FECES AND POOP AND PUT HOM INSIDE A METAL BPX WITH A LOCK ON IT WHERE HE DIES A HORRIBLE DEATH AS THESE 7 INNOCENT DEFENSELESS KITTENS DID!!! NO EXCUSE CRUEL & ABUSIVE IDIOTS TO LEFT TO BE SLIVE!!!!

  15. This man must be found and prosecuted for the cruelty and torture these innocent kittens endured.
Make tough animal cruelty laws now.

  16. Grotesque and ugly. Vicious. Vile. Those poor defenseless suffering kittens and cats. The guys a solid POS. LOCK HIM UP!
