Dogs Reportedly Shot in Face and Beaten Until Their Bones Snapped Deserve Justice

Target: Dave Sunday, District Attorney of York County, PA

Goal: Seek stronger charges and penalties against accused animal abusers and killers.

A miniature dachshund suffers broken ribs and a collapsed lung. A man pleads guilty to beating his pet dog with a baton. A suspect in a different case pleads no contest to shooting his pet dog in the face. These horrific crimes have two commonalities. They all took place in York County, Pennsylvania. And not one of the guilty parties was sentenced to a day in jail.

All three of the guilty or no contest pleas in these aggravated animal cruelty cases resulted in probation. While some of the suspects were prohibited from contact with pets for a period of time, none of them received the kind of penalty that would have really mattered. In fact, prosecutors seemed to go out of their way to drop more severe charges that may have resulted in jail or prison time.

Sign the petition below to demand these legal leaders stop giving violent animal abusers an easy pass.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Sunday,

A local newspaper article recently confirmed that cases of animal cruelty are significantly on the rise in York County. With the lax approach the legal system is seemingly taking toward these crimes, it seems little wonder that abusers are not apparently worried about a future behind bars. Within the past several months, the York County prosecutor’s office has let a man who admitted to beating his dog with a baton, a man who pleaded no contest to shooting his dog in the face, and a man accused of giving his dog a collapsed lung and broken ribs walk free with legal slaps on the wrist.

Please stop giving out plea and probation deals to violent criminals, as if they are candy. The next time they appear before you, it may be for an even bigger tragedy that you could have prevented.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

What are the names of the monsters? Why no jail time for the idiots? Those poor precious dogs. Are the men at least banned from ever owning dogs, or any animal, again? Probation is a joke. Prison is what they both need. Disgusting.

  2. The 2 cases mentioned in this Petition are classic examples of the lackadaisical attitude that Judges and Prosecutors have towards animal abusers. ANY FORM of abuse – and murder – committed against the Animal Kingdom should carry a minimum penalty of 10 years in prison. I fail to understand why the powers that be do not think that beating an animal with a bat until its bones are broken, or shooting an animal in the face, do not warrant time behind bars? I guess it’s time to remove those powers…

    • Agreed and you are spot on!

    • Agree with you Kathy. Men who beated and killed these poor dogs are monsters but Judges and Prosecutors are monsters too. They are stupid and heartless to let those
murderers go unpunished. It’s exactly like they’re telling to animal abusers: Go ahead, do what ever you want to animals, no problem at all. They would all deserve to suffer the same atrocities these animals endured.

    • Debbie Benz says:

      Amen, you said it perfectly!!

    • A lot of them need to be removed! A lot of politicians also need to be removed! They’re all in cahoots with each other. It’s a sin what goes on in this country with our Judicial System. Just like this little shit in Buffalo New York who killed all those innocent people and had such vile information online that shows that he’s guilty and he has the balls to plead not guilty and have our tax dollars spent to defend him! It’s about time animals are treated like humans when it comes to getting beaten and abused and not just property or things! This country sickens me when it comes to Animal Welfare. We’re supposed to be a Civilized Nation but we’re far from it.
I truly believe in Karma and I hope it comes to both of these useless pieces of shit very soon.

what we relly need is to get rid of the judges in this country who allow these cases and cases of rape to go virtually unpunished. Unfortunatley now it is a political thing. Show the people you are for allowing certain people to do whatever they want to whomeever they want. It is the prosecuters and judges who shold be behind bars

    • You are so right. Vote out judges and prosecutors who don’t value animals lives. Instead they see nothing wrong with brutality, torture and any form of abuse towards animals. If elected officials do nothing THEY are the problem !

  4. Elease M. Bradford says:

These three slimy, snakes in York County who abused their pets need to be severely punished. Their behavior is appalling and unacceptable. As long as animal abusers are not held accountable for their actions, they will continue to abuse animals. Authorities need to step up to the plate, stop giving out slaps on the wrist and severely punish these offenders. I hope these fur babies get justice.

  5. Gail C Ferriera says:

I hope he rots in prison.

  6. These depraved, sick monsters deserve a long jail sentence. What is wrong with the damn Justice system and judges involved in these cases? Shame on them. Step up and protect these poor defenceless animals. Names of the abusers please. Punish these names immediately.

  7. These ingrates should go to prison have no contact with ANY ANIMAL for the rest of their sorry PSYCHOTIC lives they should be given the same treatment that these two poor Dogs endured

  8. These vile, mentally deranged scumbag, severe dog abusers must have the death penalty implemented and nothing less. A slow and agonising extermination of these evil cretins is essential.

  9. Cheryl+Miller says:

These innocent animals need justice!! Animal cruelty is horrible and disgusting!! How sad that you do nothing to these cruel people! Do something about it for these sweet animals!!

  10. Animals shall NOT be VICTIMS of human sadistic psychopaths!Animal abuse shall be treated as any human abuse. These innocent creatures deserve justice – just like YOU and ME!
MAX JAIL for these extremely vile sadistic psychopaths, and beat the shit out of them before they are locked behind bars for many years ahead!!!
MAX JAIL or DEATH PENALTY for this HUMAN VERMIN!!!

  11. Andrew Lewis says:

I THINK ANYONE CONVICTED OF ANIMAL ABUSE SHOULD TATTOOED OR BRANDED ON THEIR FACE WITH A MARK TO SHOW THE WORLD FOREVER WHO THEY TRULY ARE. FUCKING BASTARDS

  12. These SCUMBAG POSs need to be put behind bars NOW! Animal abusers are future killers including mass shooters!

  13. Why would any judge show leniency for the monsters who inflicted so much pain on these poor dogs. They should be shown the same mercy they showed the dogs which is none! Some people were not meant to be judges, they just have no common sense. These men should have gotten jail time!

  14. That’s because these lazy DAs have no desire to spend time actually working, they would rather let these POS walk with a slap on the wrist. Most animal abusers work their way up top humans so the next person harmed by this subhuman slime will be on the DA.. it will be their fault…

  15. Monica+Lee+Koski says:

This is outrageous!…These three monstrous animal abusers/ murderers obviously have no respect for life…all three of these innocent dogs’ lives mattered, and their abusers deserve more than a simple slap on the wrist! They deserve a max sentence, including a mandatory, extensive jail sentence and permanent lifetime ban from ever being allowed to own any other pet.I am so sick of judges essentially condoning animal abusers monstrous acts by giving lenient sentences that do not fit the crimes, and do absolutely nothing to deter future animal abuse by other monstrous perpetrators!

  16. Michelle Orlando says:

These people are monsters!! Have to beat an innocent dog to feel superior? Probation, you must be kidding me. Did the puppies live? Probation, wish I knew where they lived and their names. They should be put in jail With the worst criminals and see what it is like to be ABUSED. Shame on the judge. Seems he must value a life same as those creatures. Hope life gives them back exactly what they deserve.

  17. Michelle Stewart says:

Their laws must be changed to give 1000% harsher sentences to animal abusers/killers, people that neglect, and abandon animals. Those bastards shoukd each be serving 10 years in prison with no early parole, each guy pay a $500,000 fine, and they all must be banned for life from owning or going near any animals ever again. And they must not get their animals back. All the people involved that did not charge/prosecute those bastards must be fired from their jobs immediately. The abusers/killers deserve to be shot dead

  18. Raynesha McGhee-Reed says:

3 POSs Needs 2 be Rotting in Hell in the Slammer!!!!!

  19. Words cannot be found to express my feelings. These persons deserve a long jail sentence with major fines. Strict supervision to ensure they have no interaction with animals.

  20. Nadine brundage says:

Pennsylvania is getting as bad as Texas with horrific cases of animal cruelty and the lack of animal protection laws. I’m sick and tired of the demented subhuman, low life trash getting away without consequences . The pathetic judicial system and weak do nothing judges are responsible for letting the scum off with the usual slap on the wrist. I urge the sane people of that state to get after their officials to do a better job to protect the innocent, voiceless animals who do not deserve this unbelievable cruelty.
