Starving Horses Allegedly Abandoned Without Food or Water: Demand Prosecution

Target: Michael McGrath, Director of Public Prosecutions, Dublin, Ireland

Goal: Identify and prosecute any individuals found to have abandoned horses without adequate food, water, or veterinary care, resulting in severe suffering.

A disturbing animal welfare investigation intensified after emergency responders reportedly discovered three horses living in catastrophic conditions on an abandoned property. Inspectors and veterinary officers claim they found a senior mare and two young colts suffering from extreme emaciation and apparent neglect.

Authorities reportedly observed prominent skeletal structures, severe muscle loss, and overgrown, cracked hooves that allegedly caused significant pain and impaired movement. Investigators further reported that the field lacked sufficient forage and access to clean drinking water. Preliminary findings suggested that the animals may have been left unattended for an extended period after the property’s tenancy was abandoned.

The horses were safely removed and transferred to a rehabilitation facility for specialized veterinary treatment. Investigators continue reviewing ownership records, livestock databases, and identification information while attempting to determine who may have been responsible for the animals’ care. If substantiated, these allegations would represent prolonged neglect inflicted upon vulnerable animals entirely dependent on human stewardship. Strong legal action is necessary to deter future abandonment cases and protect animal welfare.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DPP McGrath,

Authorities have made allegations involving three horses abandoned without adequate food, water, or veterinary care.

Veterinary officers reportedly found the animals suffering from severe emaciation, muscle wasting, and painful hoof conditions. Investigators continue working to identify the individual responsible for the horses’ welfare before they were removed from the property.

If proven, the alleged conduct would represent severe neglect causing prolonged suffering. We urge your office to support a thorough investigation and pursue appropriate penalties against any individuals found responsible for this alleged abandonment and cruelty case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
