Justice for Horses Who Allegedly Suffered Impalements and Open Wounds

Target: Lesli S. Boese, Waukesha County District Attorney, Wisconsin

Goal: Seek full criminal prosecution after horses were allegedly killed or  left with impalements and open wounds on a farm property.

Disturbing allegations have emerged from a horse farm where former employees claim animals may have suffered severe injuries and neglect. One former worker reportedly stated that a horse “gutted itself” on fencing, and others allegedly had huge gashes and impalement wounds to their torsos, abdomens, and legs. Photographs reportedly showed horses with unkept hooves and open wounds. There are also claims that dead horses were buried under piles of manure and that as many as 11 dead puppies were allegedly discarded in the trash.

Police executed a search warrant at the property and referred 28 charges to prosecutors. While felony charges were filed in connection with firearms found on the property, animal-related allegations were addressed through municipal citations. Authorities have reportedly issued dozens of citations for overcrowding violations.

When credible reports suggest that animals have endured impalements, untreated injuries, or improper disposal after death, stronger legal scrutiny is essential. Municipal citations alone may not sufficiently address the gravity of the alleged harm. Sign below to demand a thorough criminal review and appropriate prosecution, if evidence supports it, to protect vulnerable animals and prevent any recurrence of alleged mistreatment.

PETITION LETTER:

DA Lesli S. Boese,

We write to express grave concern regarding reports that horses on a local farm were left with impalement wounds, open gashes, and unkept hooves, and that dead animals were allegedly buried under manure or discarded. Former employees have described severe injuries and unsafe fencing that may have caused devastating harm.

Law enforcement executed a search warrant and referred numerous charges, yet animal-related matters were handled through municipal citations. Given the seriousness of the alleged injuries and conditions, further criminal review may be warranted if the allegations are substantiated.

We respectfully urge your office to reexamine the evidence and pursue full criminal prosecution should the facts substantiate violations of animal cruelty laws. Robust enforcement is essential to safeguard these animals and to deter any future alleged neglect or abuse.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
