Animals Allegedly Found Dead, Frozen, and Starving on Property: Demand Justice

Target: J. Anthony “Tony” Jordan, District Attorney of Washington County, New York

Goal: Pursue full investigation and appropriate prosecution after numerous animals were allegedly found dead, frozen, starving, and confined without food or water.

A deeply disturbing situation has emerged after dozens of animals were reportedly discovered dead and others suffering from starvation, frostbite, and exposure to extreme cold. Witness accounts described cages, crates, and huts scattered across the property, with dead animals present and surviving animals left without consistent food or water. Some animals were reportedly rescued in critical condition, raising urgent concern about prolonged neglect and suffering.

Rescuers and veterinarians worked urgently to remove surviving animals and provide emergency medical care, while additional reports described birds confined outdoors in snowy cages and pigs found thin, dehydrated, or suffering from frostbite. Statements from witnesses also referenced a decapitated pig and multiple animal deaths over time, though some details remain disputed as authorities continue reviewing the circumstances. No arrests have been made, but criminal charges are anticipated as the investigation proceeds.

Alleged large-scale neglect resulting in death, starvation, and exposure to freezing conditions demands decisive legal accountability. Thorough investigation and, where supported by evidence, meaningful prosecution are essential to protect vulnerable animals and deter future cruelty. This petition therefore calls for immediate legal action to ensure accountability and lasting protection for animals.

PETITION LETTER:

The DA J. Jordan,

We write to express grave concern regarding reports that numerous animals were discovered dead, frozen, starving, or confined without food or water on a residential property. Witness statements described surviving animals suffering from frostbite, malnutrition, dehydration, and prolonged exposure to extreme cold, while additional reports referenced multiple animal deaths under the same conditions.

Rescuers and veterinary professionals intervened to remove surviving animals and provide urgent treatment, and authorities have indicated that criminal charges may be forthcoming. Because the circumstances reportedly involve large-scale suffering and alleged loss of animal life, the matter raises serious concerns about enforcement of animal protection laws and prevention of future harm.

We respectfully urge your office to conduct a full investigation and to pursue appropriate prosecution and penalties wherever evidence supports the alleged violations. Strong enforcement is essential to protect animals, uphold public trust, and ensure meaningful accountability for this alleged cruelty and neglect.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
