Animals Reportedly Killed and Endangered En Masse Deserve Justice

Target: Sky Jones, County Attorney for Beaverhead County, MT

Goal: Prosecute massive alleged animal cruelty case to fullest extent.

A Montana sheriff’s office deemed it the “largest and most heinous animal cruelty case the Sheriff’s Office has worked on.” Several dead animals were reportedly found at a residence in Beaverhead County. And nearly four dozen living apparent victims were rescued.

Fortunately, the rescuees underwent veterinary care. But for the unannounced number of deceased alleged victims, their story ended tragically. Two people have since been charged with aggravated animal cruelty.

Sign the petition below to demand prosecutors seek the maximum sentence in the event of a guilty finding.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear County Attorney Jones,

A Chreston Lane property was the scene of an alleged house of horrors for dozens of animals. While details are scarce, the sheriff’s office did reveal that 47 animals had been rescued from the property. In addition, a sizeable number of deceased animals was also reportedly discovered. But most chilling of all is the statement the sheriff’s office released in response to this incident, calling it the “largest and most heinous animal cruelty case the Sheriff’s Office has worked on.”

Aggravated animal cruelty charges were apparently filed against two unidentified individuals. Please ensure these suspects do not receive a slap on the wrist if they are found guilty. Pursue maximum charges and send a decisive message about animal cruelty in Montana.

Sincerely,
