Dog Allegedly Thrown and Kicked on Camera: Demand Felony Prosecution

Target: Suzy Lopez, State Attorney, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Florida

Goal: Pursue maximum felony penalties against individual accused of kicking a dog on surveillance footage.

A disturbing animal cruelty investigation intensified after real-time surveillance footage apparently showed a woman forcefully throwing a dog onto asphalt and kicking the animal repeatedly near a public roadway in Hillsborough County. Operators at a crime center reportedly observed the dog cowering on the ground before deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect. Veterinary doctors treated the injured animal for a fractured front leg and extensive bruising following emergency transport to a clinic.

Animal control officials have filed a petition seeking to restrict the defendant’s future animal ownership rights because of the reported severity of the incident. Prosecutors continue compiling digital evidence and veterinary records while the criminal proceedings remain active.

Animal welfare advocates argue that violent physical attacks against companion animals may cause lasting physical trauma, fear, and prolonged suffering. If substantiated, these allegations would represent severe cruelty inflicted upon a vulnerable dog unable to escape the reported attack.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Lopez,

Authorities have made allegations involving a dog thrown onto asphalt and repeatedly kicked while captured on surveillance footage near a public roadway.

Veterinary doctors reportedly treated the dog for a fractured leg and extensive bruising after deputies secured the injured animal. If proven, the alleged conduct would represent violent cruelty and prolonged suffering inflicted upon a vulnerable companion animal.

We urge your office to pursue maximum felony penalties against any individual found responsible for this alleged cruelty case.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
