Dead Animals and Matted Dogs Reportedly Found at Rescue: Demand Felony Prosecution

Target: Christine Hoffman, Prosecutor for Sussex County, NJ

Goal: Pursue maximum felony animal cruelty penalties against individuals allegedly operating a rescue property where animals reportedly suffered severe neglect.

A massive multi-agency animal rescue operation intensified after investigators reportedly removed more than 50 animals from a property connected to a private rescue organization known as Angels for Animals Network. Authorities reportedly discovered dogs suffering from severely matted fur, untreated medical conditions, and prolonged neglect while living inside rooms reportedly filled with feces and hazardous waste.

Investigators also reportedly discovered the remains of multiple dead animals on the property, raising concerns regarding a potential long-term pattern of neglect and suffering. Property owners Gizela Juric and Ronald Colgan currently face animal cruelty charges while investigators continue processing evidence to determine the full extent of the alleged conditions and whether additional individuals may have been involved.

Surviving animals have been relocated to shelters for emergency veterinary treatment and rehabilitation. If substantiated, these allegations would represent severe cruelty occurring at a facility publicly presented as a safe rescue organization. Strong prosecution is necessary to ensure accountability and protect vulnerable animals from future suffering under allegedly deceptive rescue operations.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Prosecutor Hoffman,

Authorities have made allegations involving a rescue property where dogs were found living in rooms filled with feces while suffering from matted fur, untreated illness, and prolonged neglect. Investigators also say they discovered the remains of multiple dead animals on the property.

The reported conditions have raised serious concerns regarding potential long-term cruelty occurring under the appearance of animal rescue work. If proven, the alleged conduct would represent severe neglect inflicted upon defenseless animals dependent on human care.

We urge your office to pursue maximum felony penalties against any individuals found responsible and continue investigating whether additional participants may have contributed to these alleged acts of cruelty.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
