Investigators heard from neighbors who claim to have heard “whipping noises” followed by dogs screaming. One dog was apparently in such grave condition that euthanasia became the only humane option.
According to police, the defendants tried to disguise these injuries by claiming the dog was hit by a car. Detectives uncovered social media posts and videos that helped secure arrest warrants. Inside the apartment, officers reputedly found weapons believed to have been used to beat the animals and a second injured dog. These details seem to paint an alarming picture of deliberate cruelty.
Meaningful accountability is necessary to deter future abuse and to honor the suffering animals endur. Prosecutors should pursue the toughest charges supportable by evidence, seek a lifetime prohibition on animal ownership, require psychological counseling, and demand restitution for veterinary care. Anything less risks sending the wrong message about violence against animals.

Please give this matter a serious level of attention. This is NOT normal behavior of anyone. Beating two dogs severely, one of the dogs dying at hands of perpetrator. This tells all residents of Fulton County that the perpetrator is in need of mental health intervention. Jail time, maximum allowed, necessary as well. Residents count on their leaders.
