Family Dogs Reportedly Shot Dead With Arrows Deserve Justice

Target: Sean Fagan, Prosecuting Attorney of LaPorte County, Indiana

Goal: Pursue maximum lawful penalties, restitution, psychological evaluation, and lifetime hunting-license revocations for the individuals who allegedly shot two family dogs with arrows and concealed the bodies.

Authorities reportedly recovered evidence showing two beloved pets—a chocolate Labrador retriever and a beagle—were shot with a bow and arrow during a supposed hunting trip. According to a probable cause affidavit, an independent hunter heard the animals whimpering in pain before silence. The dogs were later reportedly found after a damaged GPS collar led investigators to them. These accounts describe disturbing cruelty that turned a routine outing into needless suffering.

Investigators further allege the shooter was elevated in a stand when he fired, suggesting the dogs posed no immediate threat. The father-and-son pair involved allegedly attempted to hide one body and destroyed the beagle’s GPS collar, actions that appear designed to conceal what happened. Such conduct, if proven, reflects more than a lapse in judgment. It suggests a deliberate disregard for life and the law.

Appropriate accountability can deter future harm. This petition urges the prosecutor to seek the strongest lawful consequences, including felony-level penalties where applicable, restitution to the guardian, mandated counseling and evaluation, no-contact-with-animals conditions, and lifetime hunting-license revocations to protect public safety and animal welfare.

PETITION LETTER:

Prosecutor Fagan,

Reports and sworn statements describe an incident in which two pet dogs were shot with arrows during a hunting trip, followed by an apparent effort to hide a body and the reported destruction of a GPS collar. Witness accounts include hearing the dogs whimper in pain before all went quiet. These details, if substantiated in court, depict serious and senseless cruelty.

The suggestion that the shooter was positioned on an elevated stand when firing, as reported, undermines any claim of imminent danger. The alleged concealment and tampering reinforce the need for meaningful accountability. Cases like this reverberate through the community and the lawful hunting tradition, which rejects needless suffering and any attempt to obstruct investigations.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue the maximum lawful penalties upon conviction, including restitution, mandated psychological evaluation and counseling, no-contact-with-animals provisions, and lifetime hunting-license revocations. Robust prosecution can help ensure this alleged brutality is met with appropriate consequences and can deter future offenses.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

John (58) and Hayden (22) Lowe – According to Google, 1810 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, Indiana; looking for their phone number. I’d love to see these two sons of bitches dead before sundown! Damnit to hell! Two innocent dogs killed by these mf’ing evil trash. Hunting my ass! They were out to kill any living thing they could and the dogs fit the bill on their evil, twisted agenda! They need to have a Karma Bat (aka Louisville Slugger) taken to them until they’re silent!!!

  9. Sean – As you well know, too many times animal abusers get a slap on the wrist and nothing more. Here we have a case of murder and sufficient evidence to prosecute, so do the job you were hired to do and put these 2 assholes behind bars! Please!

  10. If I lived in the US I would be making real plans right now to take these 2 hill billy abominations into the woods on a one way trip. What I don’t understand is how they got access to them, where were the owners? They are responsible for this tragic, evil murder of their dogs by having their dogs wandering free. You live in a state known for it’s backwards savages yet you let your poor dogs wander off unprotected. Its awful
