According to Suffolk County SPCA investigators, a single residence housed sixty-nine ailing cats and twenty-eight dead cats—including about two dozen kittens reportedly found wrapped inside a freezer. This keeps happening over and over. The Judicial system is extremely lame in sending out the clear message. Punishment needs to reflect the crime! These little kittens did not ask to be born and that could have easily been avoided.

I read all the comments and I’m disheartened by them. There’s no doubt these animals suffered, but I don’t jail time is going to help this woman. At seventy five she wouldn’t survive long anyway. I’m not sure I believe mental health counseling will help either, but I think it might be the best way forward, as well as prohibited animal ownership in the future. I know my comment is going to be very controversial, but while I’m enraged at these animal’s suffering I think it’s important to remember this woman is a human being. She needs help as much as these poor cats.

Usually, I want euthanasia for all animal abusers, but maybe in this case, this woman should be placed in a senior care facility with no access to pets/animals.
I am really really peed off with people saying these bastards need counselling. What they really need is being in a box six feet under the ground-no messing.
