Dog Reportedly Found Severely Underweight Deserves Justice

Target: Harnett County, North Carolina District Attorney Suzanne Matthews

Goal: Ensure thorough prosecution of individual reportedly responsible for dog’s death from starvation.

A heart-wrenching case has emerged involving a boxer dog named Kiki, who was reportedly found severely emaciated and later died despite medical intervention. Photographs shared on social media appeared to show Kiki in a state of extreme malnourishment, sparking public outrage and concern over potential animal neglect.

Kiki was surrendered by her owner to a shelter, where she was allegedly found to weigh only 34 pounds—far below the typical weight range of 55 to 75 pounds for her breed. Veterinarians diagnosed her with kidney disease and assessed her body condition score at a dangerously low 0.5. Despite efforts to save her, euthanasia was recommended due to her deteriorating health.

This tragic situation underscores the urgent need for a thorough investigation to determine whether severe neglect led to Kiki’s condition and death. Animals depend on their caretakers for proper nutrition, medical care, and humane treatment. It is imperative that those reportedly responsible are held accountable to prevent future cases of animal cruelty. Demand that justice is served for Kiki by ensuring a comprehensive investigation and appropriate legal action.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Matthews,

I am writing to express deep concern over the case of a boxer dog named Kiki, who was allegedly found severely emaciated and later died despite medical efforts to save her. Photographs circulating on social media appear to depict Kiki in an extreme state of malnutrition, and veterinarians reportedly determined her body condition score to be 0.5, with a weight of only 34 pounds.

Such a condition raises serious questions about potential severe neglect and mistreatment. Animals rely on their caretakers for basic needs, and failing to provide adequate nutrition and medical care constitutes a grave injustice. It is crucial that this matter is thoroughly investigated to determine the circumstances that led to Kiki’s deteriorated state and subsequent death.

I urge your office to prioritize this case and ensure that those reportedly responsible for Kiki’s condition are held accountable under the law. By taking decisive legal action, you can help prevent future instances of animal cruelty and send a strong message that such neglect will not be tolerated in our community.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Find the pieces of garbage responsible for this and execute them immediately.

  2. No animal deserves to be a victim of DEHUMANIZED, DESENSITIZED and MENTALLY-DERANGEED SADISTIC PSYCHOPATHS!! NO animal-abuser should get away with such a horrific crime!!
Tormenting, neglecting and killing animals has a brutalizing effect on our society and mankind as a whole.
This satanic and pathological monster must be severely punished. He must also be forbidden from coming near, owning or working with animals in future.
SET a PRECEDENT, and punish to the full extent of the law!
    MAX JAIL or DEATH PENALTY!

  3. What do I say??? KILL THE BASTARDS BY STARVING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!!!

  4. Such abuse and cruelty is unacceptable. Anyone responsible for this type of neglect deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and forbidden from future pet ownership.

  5. Fran Prusinowski says:

Tie them to a tree deep in the woods with NO food or water no shelter, see how they make out. POS

  6. It says she was handed in by her owner. Why was this person allowed to leave without being identified and told of coming prosecution. The laws need to be changed. They are protecting abusers not the abused.

    • Animal Control had been notified of this dog long before they actually took action. They know exactly who the owner was.

    • Exactly what I was thinking, I can’t understand why neighbours did not intervene either. There’s not enough people like us in the world, if there were more, these evil demons would not stand a chance.

  7. Agree all comments get person and do the same back to them. No excuse. Justice now.

  8. Arrest and prosecute these evil monsters!

  9. Prosecute this evil human slime to the fullest!

  10. SO SAD FOR POOR HELPLESS KIKI WHO DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH!!!
THIS MONSTER NEEDS TO BE PROSECUTED FOR THE ABUSE TORTURE AND MURDER TO AN INNOCENT AND HELPLESS DOG!!
    THIS WAS TOTALLY PREVENTABLE!!!
LOCK UP THIS MONSTER AS KIKI DESERVES JUSTICE AND KEEP THIS MONSTER AWAY FROM ALL ANIMALS!!

  11. Weasel beggins says:

Since this poor innocent animal was surrendered, there must be a lead on who the filthy pig was that owned and starved this dog to death. Please prosecute and starve this died to death as he did this poor dog. I am really sick of seeing this garbage. Men are very cruel and hostile

  12. Poor sweet dog did not deserve this ugly fate. Kiki’s owner is a soulless devil who deserves the same treatment, see how it feels to starve to death!! RIP sweet Kiki.

  13. How is someone actually able to claim to be an “owner” of a dog that is proven to be malnourished and medical care has been so neglected that the kidney disease has completely destroyed a beautiful dog that is needing care so desperately? They do not have the right to be “owners” as owners take responsibility and care for their pets. Why did the dog have kidney disease? There are people that only give their dogs soda and beer. Investigate, talk to neighbors, friends, and family of the owner and find out what else caused this nice dog to become so sick that she just couldn’t make it anymore. I know just by looking at the picture that Kiki would have done great with proper food, water, treatment and care. The undeserving owner needs to be held 100% responsible as that is what the title of “owner” means, not only implies.

  14. Dennis Busto says:

Absolutely No Tolerance Towards Animal ABUSERS n Cruelty. An eye for an eye fits this crime n should be the punishment. Paws Matter

  15. The person/owner who turned her in should be responsible!

  16. I was angered just as much as the rest of you when I read about Kiki but extreme weight loss is common for end stage kidney disease so I dug deeper.
“Kiki,… last night we finally get to the REAL truth, no Kiki was not abused, not starved , not neglected, she was gravely ill, the er vet did her worse by giving her deworming medication , yes it helped her, but he ignored her true disease, and brushed her away. You got a neighbor who took a picture thinking the dog needed help, and a then you have a rescue running all over Facebook crying neglect , abuse! One who never saw the dog???” Turns out, they were taking donations even after she was euthanized. Do you guys believe everything you read online? You all were ready to punish the owner without even having the facts. Shame on you!

  17. Kathleen BOSSART says:

WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY AM I LIVING IN THAT THESE ASSHOLE WOULD GET AWAY WITH THIS. IAM ASHAMED TO LIVE HERE AND LET THIS GO UNPUNISHED. THESE POOR BABIES DEPEND ON US TO LOVE AND CARE FOR THEM. MY HEART JUST BREAKS TO SEE THIS. OUR COUNTRY IS SO CORRUPT AS IT IS THEN TO NOT SEEK JUSTICE FOR THIS BABY IS INEXCUSABLE.

  18. FIND THESE CRUEL & ABUSIVE BASTARDS WHOM ABUSED THIS DEFENSELESS INNOCENT DOG KIKI,and STARVE THEM TO THEIR DEATHS WHERE THEY CAN FEEL THE SLOW PAINFUL DEATH!!!

  19. Punish this piece of trash, this waste of life and place him in jail before he harms anybody or other fur babies out there!!! Do not allow him to ever be around other animals as he’s shown to be cruel and torturous to animals. Lock him up and let him feel the hunger, pain and suffering he inflicted upon others!

  20. Death penalty for bastard abuser/killer,SOB! Burn in hell!
    Justice for Kiki, +RIP
