Dog Found Sick, Starving, and Abandoned in Traffic Deserves Justice

Target: Charlie McConalogue, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Ireland

Goal: Ensure a thorough investigation and prosecution of the individuals responsible for the severe neglect of a rescued dog.

A young dog named Chance was found darting through traffic in Sligo town, narrowly avoiding what could have been a fatal accident. A compassionate passerby rescued him, discovering signs of severe neglect. At just one year old, Chance was described as having a fragile body and a wary gaze, indicative of the hardship he had faced.

Upon being taken to the Animal Health Centre, Chance was found to have a sore requiring stitches and was diagnosed with a condition where his body isn’t producing enough pancreatic enzymes, essential for breaking down food. This condition suggests prolonged neglect of his health and well-being. Thanks to the dedicated care of Leitrim Animal Welfare, Chance is beginning to heal and regain his strength.

Such neglect of an innocent animal is unacceptable and highlights the need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws. It is imperative that authorities investigate this case thoroughly, identify those responsible for Chance’s condition, and ensure they are held accountable. Prevent future instances of animal cruelty and protect other animals from suffering similar fates.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Minister McConalogue,

I am writing to express deep concern over the case of severe neglect involving a young dog named Chance in Sligo town. Chance was found darting through traffic, and upon rescue, his condition suggested he had endured significant neglect. He was underweight, had a sore requiring stitches, and was diagnosed with a pancreatic enzyme deficiency due to prolonged lack of care.

Such neglect not only causes immense suffering to innocent animals but also undermines the efforts to promote animal welfare. It is crucial that this case is thoroughly investigated to identify those responsible for Chance’s condition and to ensure they are held accountable under the law.

I urge you to take immediate action by directing the appropriate authorities to investigate this matter fully and to enforce existing animal welfare regulations. By doing so, you will send a clear message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated and help prevent future incidents of this nature.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. The perpetrators need to be found and given the exact same treatment- starve them to near death
