Cows Allegedly Kicked and Hit on Dairy Farm Deserve Justice

Target: Robbie Douglas-Miller, Minister of Animal Welfare, UK

Goal: Enforce animal welfare standards on farms where cows were allegedly kicked, jabbed with sharp objects, and violently dragged over the ground.

Recent undercover footage has allegedly exposed appalling abuse of dairy cows at farms supplying Muller and Marks & Spencer. Workers were reportedly caught hitting cows with poles, kicking them, and yelling abusive language in what appeared to be a hostile and cruel environment. In one incident, a worker allegedly jabbed a cow with a sharp object after shouting a slur. The footage also reportedly shows workers using metal chains, ropes, and broom handles to violently strike cows and calves, with one worker dragging a calf as its mother cried out in distress.

These farms, including one previously featured in Marks & Spencer’s advertising as promoting high animal welfare, have been suspended by both M&S and RSPCA Assured while investigations take place. However, the footage has cast serious doubts on the enforcement of animal welfare standards in the dairy industry, particularly after the Red Tractor inspection found no welfare concerns, despite the disturbing video evidence.

Animal welfare advocates, including activist Joey Carbstrong, have expressed concerns that this alleged abuse is far from an isolated incident. Carbstrong claims that abuse like this is common in the dairy industry when workers believe they are not being watched.

This is not just a matter of cruelty, but a fundamental ethical failure. We must demand that the dairy industry adopt stricter regulations, enhance oversight, and ensure that those allegedly responsible for such inhumane treatment of animals are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Take action now.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Robbie Douglas-Miller,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recent undercover footage that allegedly revealed severe cases of animal abuse at dairy farms supplying Muller and Marks & Spencer. The video reportedly shows workers violently attacking cows with metal poles, kicking them, and using aggressive and abusive language, all while the animals allegedly endured extreme fear and distress. In one particularly horrifying instance, a worker was allegedly seen jabbing a cow with a sharp object after angrily shouting at it.

This behavior is utterly unacceptable and highlights systemic failures within the dairy industry. Despite one of the farms being featured in Marks & Spencer’s advertising for promoting high animal welfare standards, the footage apparently reveals appalling mistreatment of animals behind closed doors. These allegations demand immediate and decisive action.

I urge you to pursue the strongest possible penalties against the individuals allegedly responsible for these heinous acts of cruelty. Moreover, it is critical to implement more stringent, independent, and unannounced inspections at all dairy farms to ensure such alleged abuses are not repeated. Those found guilty of animal cruelty must face not only criminal charges but also permanent bans from the industry.

This is not just a matter of upholding the law; it is about basic compassion and decency. Consumers expect transparency and ethical practices from the brands they support. Please take swift and meaningful action to ensure the well-being of animals is always prioritized.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Really disappointed in how some people treat animals. Being mean and cruel is just asking for trouble, and then we wonder why animals attack.

  2. Animals need to attack to save themselves. The way a country treats its animal is a sure sign of the way they treat their people. I expected better from the Brits. Dairy farmers takeaway a cow’s baby so they can sell more milk. They treat these animals without mercy inmost cases. Instead of being appreciative they hir and beat the cows. I hope there is Karma. If so, these assholes who are so mean to animals must be born the same animal they so mistreated. Ten lives for every one they harmed. These bastards will be busy for a long while and hopefully learning their lesson!

  3. Boy, the Brits USED to have a reputation for being kind to animals. They’re getting to be more like a third-world country lately.
The fox hunting and gamebird killing is revolting enough, but now they aren’t any better to cows.
    Clean up your act, UK.

  4. Life sentence for bastard abusers, cowards.
    Justice for cows!.

  5. Sadly many farms are like this, primarily because the idiotic RSPCA give advanced notice of welfare inspections. Its the same with “free range eggs” yeah right, try packed tightly into barns under lamps 24/7. When the ‘Red Barn’ RSPCA lot turn up to do the accreditation, temp workers have been made to select a bunch of the healthier looking chickens to let loose outside to keep up the fake facade, but once they leave, theyre all shoved back in the barns. Animal welfare in UK is in the toilet, has been for a long time. Hardly surprising when we give child abusers suspended sentences though i guess. We truly are on the road to hell over here.
