Pigs Allegedly Attacked and Tormented by Hunting Dogs Deserve Justice

Target: Mr. Roger Cook, Premier of Western Australia

Goal: Prosecute individuals allegedly responsible for animal cruelty in pig hunting practices and enforce stricter animal welfare laws.

A South West couple is facing 26 charges of animal cruelty for allegedly using their dogs to attack, torment, and abuse feral pigs in a cruel manner. While pig hunting in Western Australia is not illegal, the RSPCA WA alleges that the couple’s methods breached the Animal Welfare Act 2002.

The investigation began after videos of the alleged activities were posted on social media, seemingly showing the couple allowing their dogs to attack the pigs for extended periods. The accused have been charged under multiple sections of the Animal Welfare Act and are set to appear in Manjimup Magistrates Court. Prevent such alleged abuses and ensure the well-being of animals.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Roger Cook,

A recent case in South West Australia has brought to light a deeply disturbing act of apparent animal cruelty. A couple has been charged with 26 counts of animal cruelty for allegedly using their dogs to attack, torment, and abuse feral pigs in an unnecessarily cruel manner. While pig hunting is not illegal in Western Australia, the methods allegedly used by the couple breach the Animal Welfare Act 2002.

The investigation, initiated after videos of the alleged activities were posted on social media, highlights the urgent need for strict enforcement of animal welfare laws. The accused are set to appear in Manjimup Magistrates Court and they are facing significant penalties if found guilty.

We urge you to ensure a thorough investigation and prosecution of those allegedly responsible for this act of cruelty. Immediate action is necessary to prevent such incidents in the future and to protect the welfare of animals in our state.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
