Justice for Bella: Demand Punishment for Allegedly Untreated Health Issues

Target: Harisha Savuck, State Attorney Durban Department of Justice, South Africa

Goal: Enact legal measures to ensure alleged animal abusers face strict penalties.

An alarming case has surfaced from Durban, South Africa, where Beverley Baker was charged with animal cruelty. The victim, a cross-terrier named Bella, reportedly endured profound neglect that led to severe health conditions due to lack of veterinary care. These allegations suggest a disturbing neglect of basic animal welfare, underlining the necessity of stringent legal oversight.

The Kloof and Highway SPCA became aware of Bella’s plight during an unrelated visit to Baker’s property, where Bella was reportedly observed in distress. Further investigation reportedly revealed that despite Baker’s claims, Bella had not been receiving the necessary medical treatment. This alleged negligence allowed Bella’s condition to deteriorate, leading to an array of serious health issues including alopecia, chronic ear inflammation, and more, eventually necessitating euthanasia.

This case highlights a critical need for rigorous enforcement of animal protection laws and the importance of holding individuals accountable for such alleged cruelty. Ensure that alleged animal abusers are prosecuted to the full extent of the law, to prevent future incidents and protect innocent animals from similar fates.

Dear Attorney Harisha Savuck,

We bring to your attention the distressing case of Bella, a dog who was allegedly subjected to severe neglect and cruelty under the care of Beverley Baker in Durban, South Africa. The facts of this case expose a seemingly grave disregard for animal welfare, necessitating immediate and decisive legal action to uphold justice and prevent similar cases.

According to reports from the Kloof and Highway SPCA, Bella suffered from numerous untreated health issues while ostensibly under veterinary care that never occurred. Such alleged neglect not only led to Bella’s untimely death but also represents a violation of ethical treatment standards that should protect all animals. We believe this case not only requires attention but also serves as a crucial test of our community’s commitment to justice and compassion.

Thus, we urge you to ensure that this case is treated with the severity it warrants and that legal proceedings seek to impose the maximum penalty possible for such alleged cruelty. By doing so, you will send a clear message that animal abuse is a serious crime that will not be tolerated in our society.

  1. Animals abusers are not human. Abusers of animals, children and women do not belong in society. They have no kindness, are selfish, want all for themselves and they are brutal. I feel they need to be treated in a brutal fashion, as brutal as what they did to hurt and kill their victims. No mercy! The world is getting tired of supporting these creeps who, do nothing and yet, feel we as a society must take care of them. They torture and must be tortured in return. What they did is what they would receive. If people knew this was what is waiting for them they might not be so stupid as to try to get away with their crimes. This is the only way to stop the brutality.

  2. Ejohnson says:

Beverley Baker should be “euthanized” in the most inhumane way possible

  3. Jaime Perez says:

This witch needs to be taken out of society. She’s obviously a pos monster who cares nothing about the welfare of an innocent animal. Poor little dog didn’t deserve this horrible fate.
