Labrador Puppy Reportedly Pummeled and Yanked by the Neck Deserves Justice

Target: Kim Ogg, Harris County District Attorney, Texas

Goal: Ensure legal action against the individual allegedly responsible for the abuse of Buttercup.

A three-month-old Labrador puppy, named Buttercup, allegedly suffered physical abuse at the hands of a former handler in Houston. The distressing incident reportedly occurred when the puppy bit the man. It is alleged that he responded with violence—striking, kicking, and yanking on Buttercup’s leash. This reported abuse took place in full view of a public street, captured by nearby surveillance cameras.

An employee of a local cellphone store allegedly witnessed the abuse and promptly reported it. The surveillance footage of the incident was secured by authorities. The case, now under investigation by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Animal Cruelty Section, highlights the urgent need for justice and stringent legal measures to protect innocent animals from such alleged cruelty. Following the incident, Buttercup was sold to a nearby taco truck employee for $20, who witnessed the apparent abuse and chose to intervene.

The need for legal intervention is clear. This incident not only allegedly showcases direct physical abuse but also the neglect of the duty of care expected from pet owners. Allegations like these necessitate firm action to prevent future occurrences. Take immediate legal action against the individual allegedly responsible for Buttercup’s abuse, ensuring such acts are met with the full force of the law.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Ogg,

We are writing to express our profound concern over a recent incident involving alleged severe animal cruelty in Houston, captured on surveillance and witnessed by public bystanders. A three-month-old Labrador puppy, affectionately named Buttercup, reportedly endured physical abuse because it bit its handler. It is alleged that a man was seen violently hitting, kicking, and yanking on Buttercup’s leash, actions that were reported by an employee of a local business who witnessed the incident.

This troubling case, currently under your office’s review, underscores a significant need for justice. Surveillance footage of the incident has been obtained, providing crucial evidence of the alleged cruelty. Such actions, if true, not only harm the animals involved but also erode community trust in the humane treatment of animals.

We urge your office to act swiftly and decisively in this matter. It is imperative to send a strong message that animal cruelty is a serious offense that will be met with serious consequences. We request that you pursue all appropriate charges against the individual allegedly responsible for abusing Buttercup, ensuring that justice is served and that future potential abusers are deterred by the repercussions of such unacceptable behavior.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  2. Of course it’s fucking Texas….shithole state

  3. Jose DeJesus Zamora says:

Way to go Texas! Never give up your status as the shittiest hole in the country! A complete sewer only comparable to Florida.

    • Well, the person who rescued the dog is also from Texas so it isn’t all bad.

      • I am just pleased the dog was rescued. Thug who did the harm deserves Street Justice the sort the monster won’t recover from

I SO AGREE ABSOLUTELY SICKENING ALOT OF LESS THAN HUMAN BEINGS SICK PHYCOPATHS LIVING IN THESE STATES I SAY EXACUTE THEM ALL LETS MAKE OUR WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Not surprised to hear this is Texas where animal abuse can take place out on the street in front of everyone. Texas is like a third world country when it comes to animal welfare and it’s the animals who pay the price. Embarrassing that this is in the US.

  5. Jail the sicko Texas does suck

  6. Debra Goldstein-Lustig says:

WHO COULD DO SUCH A HORRIFIC ACT OF CRUELTY TO A SWEET PUP LIKE BUTTERCUP. PROSECUTE THIS SCUMBAG TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW AND HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF HIM.

  7. FULL EFFECT OF THE LAW IS A JOKE!!!! TIME TO STEP UP AND SERIOUSLY TAKE CARE OF THESE KINDS OF HUMANS!!!!!!!!!

  8. Allison Winters says:

Disgusting! When are we actually going to make animal cruelty a major felony so we can punish these assholes properly and maybe curb some of the abuse happening?? It makes no sense!!

  9. The man in this story needs to be immediately arrested as there is a ton of views of the harm he causes. The sale of the puppy is questionable but I keep hoping the puppy will be treated well in that this person saw what happened and came to the rescue of Buttercup by offering $20 for her and the offer was a accepted. However the original man nerds to not be around animals for the rest of his life and be careful with children too. He does not appear to be stable and someone who acts as he did shows a temper that can kill. A person like that is not welcomed in society. That is the dame type of person with a gun, abusing animals, hurting women. He’s a bully with a yellow belly. He picks on those who can not fight back.

While I was searching, trying to find the name of the piece of shit that did this, a LOT of dog abuse cases came up in Texas (A LOT). What the hell is going on down there? And why is the SOB’s name not made known? Who and why would this son of a bitch be protected? I tell ya, anyone abusing an animal should be beat to death on the spot with a Karma bat! It seems like Texas has gotten way out of hand with their animal abuse and, apparently, not a damn thing is being done. Texas is full of cowards that want to beat on helpless animals! Anyone who thinks this is okay, let’s meet up and I’ll see if I can persuade you differently.

    • With you all of the way ‘bro’.
The ‘karma’ bat is a very good teacher in showing these animal torturing and murdering bastards the error of their sick ways. And ‘’power’ to anyone who feels the same. Although ABSOLUTE POWER to anyone or any group who could maybe make it work!!!
      J.W.

      • Just an addition.
Animal abuse does not always happen outside!
I mean, people who have no experience or any idea how to teach a young dog right from wrong will then punish the pup continually so that if it ‘DOES ’ survive, all it’s so-called training will be through fear of punishment. What I am trying to say here is, no one knows what actually goes in behind ‘closed doors’.
So, if you know of any family or person who has just acquired a new puppy, please do your best to keep an eye out to identify that the little dog seems in good shape and looks happy and not ‘cowering’ and frightened.
Or if you feel that there is a problem please report to the relevant authorities even if it seems trivial!
Many people have no patience whatsoever with young puppies who get kicked around, punched, beaten etc and do not understand what they have done wrong!
It is not the puppy’s fault but the stupid so – called owners who have no idea how to treat them and expect them to know what to do by just shouting and abusing them.
I do not deny this is hard work for the first few months, but would you kick and punch a baby for messing or being sick and rubbing it’s nose in it.
Well, saying that I expect some idiot people really would!!
So please be vigilant and speak up if you suspect anything untoward is going on.
You could very well save a innocent puppy from abuse and misery inflicted by ‘non-caring’ idiot humans who have no business in having an animal anyway!!
        J.W.

  11. This cruel man must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

  12. This abuser should be pummeled to death. !
Thank you Taco driver for intervening and saving Buttercup from his demented evil previous handler.

  13. The puppy bit the man..probably just a nip,the puppy is just that a puppy, prosecute the man to the fullest extent of the law…abusing a dog over a nip..shameful

  14. Jan Joyce says:

    Monster !!

  15. Bastard needs the same treatment then burnt alive. Absolutely no tolerance for animal abusers of any kind

  16. I wish the punishment would fit the crime. But that would be breaking the law. So maybe we should change it. If a perpetrator would have the same thing done to them that they did to an animal. This kind of abuse wouldn’t occur….

    • Of course it would stop as these bastards are all devout cowards and can only abuse something that cannot fight back.
An ‘eye for an eye’ lesson is needed here!
      J.W.

  17. Maria Lavorato says:

A handler!!? Ban this SOB from having any more contact with animals for life! Kick, yank and strike him till there is pain!

Kim Ogg .. prosecute to the full extent of the law. Publish his name! What kind of a hell hole is Texas…?

I hope Buttercup is safe with the new owner?

  18. Put it on the news world wide how Texas lets idiots get away with allowing animal cruelty if they allow this behavior they probably let them abuse people as well and allow predators and pedophiles rapist and sexual abusers and even allow killings to go on who knows maybe the very ones allowing this are in on it and do it themselves to me these very abusers need the same thing done to them and worse like the death penalty I always say like what it says in ROMANS 6:19 VENGEANCE IS JEHOVAH GODS N HE WILL DEFINITELY REPAY THESE VERY IDIOTS KNOW THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT FROM MAN BUT GUESS WHAT YOU IDIOTS N IDIOTS WHO ALLOW THIS JEHOVAH GOD KNOWS AND SEES ALL U CANT N WONT GET AWAY WITH IT FROM HIM UR DAY WILL DEFINITELY COME N THATS A PROMISE

  19. Joseph Kenosky says:

Euthanize the pieces of garbage that attacked this puppy

  20. When there is video surveillance and the video has been proved it’s not fixed or changed there should be no wasting tax payers money on a trial. Guilty as charged and the severest punishment possible.
