Reported Sexual Abuse of Dog by Inmates Must be Punished

Target: Samuel Prawer, Director of Government Affairs for the Department of Corrections, USA

Goal: Ensure accountability and enhance animal welfare standards in correctional facilities

Shocking allegations have emerged from the Maine State Prison, involving the alleged sexual abuse of a dog by inmates. This horrifying claim brings to light not only the alleged mistreatment of an innocent animal but also raises serious questions about the oversight and ethical management within correctional facilities. According to reports, two inmates are believed to be involved in this egregious act, pointing to a grievous lapse in the prison’s duty to protect all living beings within its walls.

Further details reveal the Maine Department of Corrections’ response, initiating an investigation into these serious allegations. Samuel Prawer, Director of Government Affairs, highlighted the department’s commitment to addressing this issue, though specifics, including the existence of any video evidence, remain undisclosed. This incident allegedly occurred within the context of the Earned Living Unit, a program presumably designed to promote rehabilitation and responsibility among inmates.

The necessity for a stringent review of animal welfare policies in correctional institutions has never been clearer. Enhancing oversight, ensuring accountability for those found responsible, and instituting rigorous animal welfare standards are imperative. Hold individuals accountable for their actions, reevaluate the Earned Living Unit’s policies, and safeguard against future occurrences of alleged abuse.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Director Samuel Prawer,

We write to you amidst disturbing allegations surfacing from within the Maine State Prison, where a dog was reportedly subjected to sexual abuse by inmates. Such allegations, if true, not only expose a horrifying act of cruelty but also underscore a significant failure in safeguarding the welfare of animals entrusted to the care of the correctional system. This incident, reportedly involving two inmates and one dog within the Earned Living Unit, has understandably shocked and appalled all who advocate for the humane treatment of animals.

The Maine Department of Corrections has commenced an investigation, a step we acknowledge. However, this alone is insufficient. We urge a comprehensive review and overhaul of policies regarding animals in correctional facilities to prevent any recurrence of such alleged acts. The purported lapse in oversight that allowed this alleged abuse demands immediate and decisive action to ensure those responsible are held accountable and measures are implemented to enhance the protection of all animals within the system.

Our call to action is unequivocal: instigate thorough policy reforms, enforce stringent animal welfare standards, and ensure transparency in the investigation’s outcomes. Let this unfortunate episode serve as a catalyst for positive change, affirming the Maine Department of Corrections’ commitment to the highest standards of care and responsibility for all lives within its purview.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. Animals should not be allowed in any jail prison ANYWHERE!!! the staff should all be fired and all involved need thier DICKS CUT OFF THROWN IN A WHOLE AND SET ON FIRE! I HAVE THE MATCHES! EVERYONE ON DUTY THAT NIGHT SHOULD NEVER WORK AGAIN! YOU ALL ARE SICK FUCKS AND SOMEONE WAS NOT DOING THEIR JOB THAT NIGHT OR JUDT DIDN’T GIVE A FUCK WHAT THEY DID TO THE VOICELESS FURBABY!

  2. Every time I hear about a prison that has a program where inmates are “caring” for dogs for some kind of program, this is what I fear will happen. Prisons can’t keep inmates from raping each other, how can they possibly protect dogs. I completely agree that any “guard” who was on duty that night should be fired. Stop all such programs in prisons. I’d like to see the inmates executed, but since we know that won’t happen, at least put them in solitary for the rest of their lives.

    • Absolutely agree, although they could stop rapes in prisons but the guards do not care at all. I’m sure it was the same with this poor dog, I mean how could they not have heard him/her screaming out? I always wondered about these animal programs and the safety of the cat or dog. Where was the person running the program? They should have been watching too. Total lack of care, judgement and morals.

  3. These bastards need to be shot between their eyes !!!!!!!!!!!

These innocent animals should not have been left alone with this
bunch of scum anyway !!!!!!!!!!! They are innocent animals !!!!!!

Something had better be done to these bastards ! Law enforcement do your job !!!!

    • AGree! How could they not have heard him/her screaming out? I always wondered about these animal programs and the safety of the cat or dog. Where was the person running the program? They should have been watching too. Total lack of care, judgement and morals.

    🔴THESE CRIMINALS MUST BE “ SUPERVISED,,, 24/7”!!!!!

  5. Hang these mother fuckers!!!!

  6. Elease M. Bradford says:

I’m so sorry this poor innocent dog was sexually abused by these depraved, sadistic inmates. Theses inmates should have been more closely monitored. These perverts need to undergo additional punishment and have more time added to their sentence. I hope this fur baby recovers and gets justice.

  7. There is absolutely NO excuse for this! How did the guards heard this dog screaming out? Or did they not care at all? I have never felt good about these animal programs and the safety of the cat or dog involved, now we know. Where was the person running the program? They should have been watching too. This should not be allowed, and the ones who did this need to remain there with added years and charges since they won’t take violent criminals to the back firing range and just dispose of them. Violent criminals should never be allowed around any animal ever, whether in jail or not. They certainly should have never been left alone with an animal there either.

  8. Carolyn Ecton says:

Director Samuel Prawer, please REMOVE ALL DOGS AND ANY OTHER Animal life from this prison. The people there do not deserve them. Animals are innocent, loyal. Why are you punishing animals by putting them with sick cretins? PLEASE STOP. If nothing changes that means acceptance.

  9. Jaime Perez says:

Castrate these sick pieces of garbage! Poor, innocent dog did not deserve this ugly fate!! I agree with everyone, where were the people in charge?? They should all be fired. This is so heartbreaking to know that the dog was badly abused.

  10. Faith James-Roame says:

Yet another reason to STOP euthanizeing our loyal, deserving, totally trainable, faithful canines, AND SAVE & rehabilitate them!!!
The sick perverted rapist & MURDERS of any animal,or child,& the totally deranged minded individuals that we.as taxpayers spend so much money and time on in prisons need to be IN THE DOG KENNELS CAGE,& the dog in the cell of a jail!!!! Way less costs, time, care,& alot higher rate of successful recovery & rehabilitation with the canine compared to the undeserving, sick minded, perverted & TOTALLY on rehabilitated, so called human beings!!!! Can’t you imagine how much money would be left over from that type of change and the taxpayers be able to totally eradicate the homeless and the hungry and the United States!!!

  11. These thugs have a sick evil mind! They all need to be castrated! I’ve always thought when a man rapes a woman or child or in this case an animal, castration is the cure! If they knew this was the punishment for this crime, I’m sure you would see a decline in rapes! Yes! Let’s do it now!!

  12. I agree with a few comments where it is stated that the security guards on duty that night MUST be fired, immediately and without payment. The inmates put in solitary confinement. And, going forward, animal ‘rehab’ or ‘caring’ programmes be either stopped or held outside the prison somewhere/somehow and animals are accounted for each day and NOT allowed to ‘overnight’ in the prison. That was just STUPID and thoughtless. (It could be an underground animal cruelty racket??)

  13. wtaf was the dog doing there in the first place. these sick bastards are where they belong throw away the key

  14. Really !!!! And who was on watch that was to be
Protecting this dog!!!! Maybe they should receive the same treatment from the inmates!!! This should be their punishment! See how they like it!!!!!

  15. Castrate these scumbags!

  16. JoAnn Thornton Alberson says:

this is horrific. did the guards not hear this poor baby suffering at these sick ass men. if they want to do this do it to each other not a animal you were suppose to be taking care of.this is why they should not be allowed to work with animals in any prison, as for you guards you are just as sick as they are because you know that you heard this animal in pain and evidently did nothing about it… all of you should be charged with animal cruelty and for the men that did this i pray you dicks rot off

  17. Couldnt agree more. What happened to punishment? These scum already hurt humans then they are handed animals to hurt? In what circle of hell did that idea hatch? As for punishment: permanent chemical castration(since they cant control their appendages clearly and apparently “everything’s sexy”) plus a good wedge of time added, at least 8 years each. And any program like this stopped immediately and every animal checked carefully for sexual abuse evidence

  18. CUT IT OFF !!!!

  19. Mia Hellstroem says:

Bestiality does not belong in a civilized country. Period! This is SADISTIC ANIMAL ABUSE and nothing else!
Inmates not involved should impose appropriate punishment!

  20. I hope they are all being bitten right now……preferably somewhere tender.
