Dogs and Cats Reportedly Starved for Days Deserve Justice

Target: Kaitlyn Lamb, Deputy County Attorney – Butte-Silver Bow

Goal: Secure stringent legal action against the individual charged with eight felony animal cruelty counts.

Veronica Lasell faces serious allegations of animal cruelty in Butte, Montana. Allegedly, she left four dogs and several cats in a deplorable state, without food or water. This shocking situation was discovered in January 2022, and the conditions were reportedly so dire that law enforcement officers needed protective suits to enter the premises. Such apparent neglect represents not only a profound failure of responsibility but also a gross violation of animal welfare laws.

Further distressing details were reported from the investigation. The dogs, allegedly found in an extremely deteriorated state, had to be euthanized. This outcome, stemming from reported neglect and failure to provide basic care, is deeply troubling. The misdemeanor charge accompanying the eight felony counts underscores the severity of the alleged offenses. Lasell’s alleged repeated failure to appear for arraignment, despite being released on bond, adds to the gravity of the situation.

The community demands justice for these animals. They appear to have suffered needlessly, and their tragic end is a stark reminder of the alleged cruelty they endured. This petition calls for stringent legal action against Lasell as well as mental health treatment, if deemed necessary. Her alleged failure to provide the most basic necessities of life to these animals cannot be overlooked. It’s imperative that the legal system responds with appropriate severity to prevent future incidents and uphold animal rights. Take action now.

Allegedly, she neglected several dogs and cats, leading to an unbearable situation where the animals were left without food or water in a Butte home. 1. throw them in jail garbage people

  2. This person thinks they can just skip court? Because deliberately killing/starving/abusing animals is no big deal to her, right? Montana is not known for loving animals, but they aren’t known for this either; find her and make sure she is in jail for that next court date and then make sure she has real consequences for her heinous actions. We don’t stop animal abuse by just turning away, we stop it be attacking head on with accountability and public shaming. Montana, do your job, send her to jail.

  3. Hmmm, anazing how often pure evil gets confused with mental illness isnt it? No excuse for this, for any reason
