Success: Cat Reportedly Sexually Assaulted and Killed Receives Justice

Target: Superior Court Judge Chad N. Cagan

Goal: Thank the court system for sending the man accused of abusing a cat for a psychiatric review.

Bani J. Mezquititla, 18, allegedly raped and killed his cat in May of 2023. There was a viable confession to support this claim, and Mezquititla was charged with two counts of third-degree animal cruelty. Each of these counts could result in up to five years of prison time. Mezquititla’s attorney William Wackowski requested his client to go through a psychiatric evaluation. Judge Cagan agreed because of the supposed danger Mezquititla presented to the public. Signers of this ForceChange petition asked for the cat to receive justice, and the act of Mezquititla getting evaluated could not only protect those who interact with him, but it may prevent him from harming animals.

Although this change of action is not exactly what was requested, it may stop this man from harming others. Considering the actions he reportedly admitted to, he is likely unwell. Prison time often does not prevent the same crime from occurring twice. If Mezquititla was able to do such horrible things to this animal, there is potential danger towards people and/or other animals. He clearly needs to be stopped, and if this comes in the form of him receiving psychiatric care, he may become less dangerous.

This man reportedly committed such a gruesome and disgusting crime, and if he is capable of something that drastic, then he may be capable of anything. This is not a case of him escaping his charges; better yet, this is a case of him receiving the type of punishment that would best help the public and prevent him from harming an animal. Sign this petition to thank the court for taking action to stop Mezquititla’s seemingly dangerous behavior.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Judge Cagan,

Thank you for requiring the man accused of raping and killing a cat to have a psychiatric review. Any individual who committed this type of crime may likely be suffering from mental illness, and based on the behavior of Bani J. Mezquititla, he could benefit from mental health services.

By no means are we saying that Mezquititla should go unpunished; instead, we’re saying that he needs to be punished in a way that would prevent him from acting in such a disgusting manner. Many criminals who go to prison will commit the same crime twice. If Mezquititla goes to a mental facility instead of going to prison, there’s a higher chance of preventing him from harming animals and/or people. If he is not stopped, the cat that was killed may not be his only victim.

The best way to go about this horrifying case and for the cat to receive justice is to legally compel this man to get mental health services. We appreciate your concern for the well-being of any future victims.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Psych eval… that’s all? This is no where near good enough. This sick bastard should be put away. Evil like this never changes or gets better.

    • Bosha Karanovic says:

Life imprisonment is what he deserves, so he won’t harm anyone else being an innocent animal or a human being. Don’t spend money trying to rehabilitate that degenerate because he is just beyond ‘repair’ !

  2. My God how horrible kill that worthless piece shit! He’s a waste of oxygen!! If you don’t do something to keep that sick m%^^^f*^ away from animals and people youre just as sick as he is! Just kill him

  3. This is hardly a “success”….this evil scum will do it again. A “psychiatric review” will not make the slightest bit of difference and unless he is locked away for life (which is no actual punishment, anyway) he will always be a danger to animals.I am sick of evil people pleading some psychiatric problem or other has made them commit their vile acts. These people are simply EVIL and should be got rid of. It is time the so called “justice” system accepted that evil people are just that…EVIL, and no excuses should be made for them.

  4. This is NOT “success”. What the actual FUCK is animalpetitions’ definition of that word?!?!?!?!

  5. This is bullshit. The psycho gets convicted of 3rd degree animal cruelty, and is required to get psychiatric help. REALLY?
    No prison time?
After he gets clearance, he’ll be back to torturing and killing animals. When will those in power figure out that violent psychopaths CAN’T BE FIXED?
    WTF?

  6. Asylum, he belongs there for good. Hope that he gets neglected, abused and raped by staff. Thats the best punishment for that twisted mind of his. JUSTICE FOR the innocent cat!

  7. J.Mitchell says:

This is a very sick and evil monster who did this heinous deed to an innocent/defenceless little animal. He is just a complete waste of space on this Earth and an oxygen thief! Unfortunately the justice system will not put him down, but this type of monster is not human and does not deserve to be treated as one. His very birth was a mistake and a violation on this Earth. This fiend has no right to be among normal people. We don’t want him. He should face the most severe punishment and should be *castrated* as well, because he might want to do the same thing to another animal or small child next time. And therefore he should not get the opportunity.

    Dear Judge Cagan,
Our planet is already full of unsavory humans, why not isolate them forever to prevent them from harming anyone or any living thing?
    Thank you!

  9. Gabriela Valerio says:

    Dear Judge Cagan,
Misconceptions, abortions of nature, freaks that don’t deserve to be free causing more damage, please lock them up!

  10. Maria Teresa Morales says:

How can monsters like ‘him’ not be already sentenced to life imprisonment?
    So incredible …

  11. Edgar H. Zamalloa says:

    Honorable Judge Cagan:
The USA should review its penalty laws … there’s so many lose monsters out there that have only been given ‘a slap on the wrist’ for their atrocious crimes

  12. This vile mentally deranged cat killer requires implementation of the death penalty and nothing less. A slow and agonizing extermination for this evil cretin is essential!! OH YEWSSS!!

  13. He is just evil, not insane. Thankfully, the vast majority of criminals that get a psych evaluation will be deemed competent for trial. Now 10 years for what he did is too low and when you add all the crimes this coward did, that would be more like 40 years plus at minimum.

To guarantee he does not repeat this, he needs to be executed. In fairness, there is no method of execution for this person that would be inhumane. This thing is not a man. He is a coward.

Where are his parents in all of this??

  14. If he goes to the rubber room the sentence must be 3x what he would get when you add all the charges. Life w/o parole or serve a minimum of 120 years in the rubber room. That is fair and just.

  15. Tammy King says:

After the evaluation this person will get off free and go on his murderous rage but only this time it’ll be our helpless innocent children thanks to a blind judge . Where ever this man is in our public he will seek out children as his next victims and no amount of money from the state will bring them back to life. We could hope for Karma but why should have to if the law had done it’s duty to the public. The one thing that can be done is post pics of him everywhere he frequents and lives with what hes done with his name and maybe this will save innocent lives . This is called freedom of speech .

  16. Seriously all you’ve got it a psychiatric evaluation – how about castrate the f*cker right on the spot. I would prefer the bullet between his f*cking eyes – imagine sexually assaulting the poor cat – is this the type of guy that you would want your daughter bringing home to meet the family!!!!! Come on people we need to have laws to protect these innocent animals and get rid of the abusers once and for all – no psych evaluation is going to cure this f*cker.

  17. Mental health is important but this man at 18 still knew right from wrong. He is accountable for such extreme suffering of his own pet that he can’t roam around in society until he gets caught for the next murder. This was agony for this cat but the judge didn’t take that into consideration. To do an evaluation but no other penalty is not enough of a punishment. The parents are also to blame. This boy was 18 and they didn’t notice his mental illness? If parents were forced to stand trial this type of torture would not be constantly in the news.

    • I feel bad for any child or young girl that happens ro cross paths with this guy. He clearly has NO issue with harming I innocent animals and would not think twice about moving up to a child or teenage female. I feel bad for his next victim. Yes, there will be a next. Sicko like him don’t change or get better. They just get more sneaky.

  18. Dennis Busto says:

Absolutely No Tolerance Towards Animal Abuse n Cruelty

  19. Christina Glennon says:

Seems everyone that commits these horrible crimes has a “mental illness” so sick of this being the get out of jail free card for these monsters, he knew exactly what he was doing and intended to torture that defenseless kitty. These slap on the wrist punishments are why there is so much crime. I am sick of animal abusers not being given the punishments they deserve. People like this make the choice to do it, there is no rehabilitating them. I imagine this is not the first animal he has tortured, just the first time he got caught.

  20. Let me have him. I BBQ him and then feed to cats
