Stop Killing Animals by Vehicle Collisions

Target: Mr. Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Canada

Goal: Establish a wildlife corridor in the Canadian Rockies to connect fragmented habitats and allow for safe movement of wildlife.

Wildlife corridors are critical to the survival of many species as they connect fragmented habitats and allow for safe movement of wildlife. However, in the Canadian Rockies, many habitats have become disconnected due to human activities such as road building and urbanization, resulting in increased mortality rates and decreased genetic diversity among wildlife populations.

The establishment of a wildlife corridor in the Canadian Rockies is crucial to ensuring the long-term survival of many species. The corridor would allow animals to move freely between habitats and provide access to important resources such as food and water. Additionally, it would reduce the number of animal-vehicle collisions on roads and decrease the human-wildlife conflict.

The Canadian Rockies are a unique and important ecological region with diverse wildlife and landscapes. The establishment of a wildlife corridor would not only benefit wildlife but also promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in the region.

We must take action to establish a wildlife corridor in the Canadian Rockies to ensure the long-term survival of many species and promote sustainable development in the region. This requires collaboration between government agencies, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders to identify priority areas for the corridor and develop a comprehensive management plan.

The establishment of a wildlife corridor in the Canadian Rockies is a crucial step in preserving the biodiversity of the region and ensuring the long-term survival of many species. Through proactive measures such as these, we can ensure a brighter and more sustainable future for generations to come. Sign below to call for swift and decisive action to establish a wildlife corridor in the region.

Wildlife corridors and the car manufacturing industry needs to be held accountable as well. Every vehicle made should have wildlife whistles built right in. Or develop some safeguards on vehicles to prevent the slaughter on roadways and highways, globally!!
