Dozens of Dogs Reportedly Found Living in ‘Feces-Filled Crates’ and Deplorable Conditions Deserve Justice

Target: Jennings H. Jones, District Attorney Rutherford County
Goal: Seek maximum penalty for owner of 48 dogs and 5 cats apparently found in absolutely horrific conditions.

Dozens of dogs were apparently found living in “feces-filled crates,” in a raccoon trap, and chained to the yard. The animals reportedly had dental disease, hernias, tumors, skin inflammation, eye infections, and parasites.

This scene of horrors was reportedly discovered by investigators recently, and included 48 dogs and five cats that were ultimately rescued.

Sadly, it was also discovered that one dog had been killed by other dogs in the cage they were confined in.

Rescuer Tim Woodward, from the Animal Rescue Corps, stated “I’m so glad we were able to respond so quickly. These animals were in desperate need and couldn’t wait another day.”

PETITION LETTER:

Dear District Attorney Jones,

An absolute horror show of abuse has apparently been discovered in your county. According to reports, dozens of dogs were found living in “feces-filled crates,” in a raccoon trap, and chained to the yard.

Animal abuse is a serious crime and in this case, it appears there were dozens of animals that faced horrific abuse. We are asking you to vigorously prosecute this case and to seek a fair and just punishment.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

Anyone that will abuse an animal deserves to be abused the same way as they abused the animal.

    should be in jail

  3. Monica Metzger says:

P UT THEM in a cage for a while and see how they like it!

  4. Cheryl+Miller says:

These people need to rot in jail, fine them the maximum and never ever let them own any animals!!!

  5. Susan CLARK says:

laws are in the hands of voters. need people to demand more stringent and enforceable unimpeachable laws from congress. vote em out. state laws first. laws have to protect the animals from inhumane people. it has to be made a crime i don’t care what congress person says it infringes on “rights” or “freedom”.

Sometimes the laws are in place, but you can’t get law enforcement or prosecutors to do their jobs and bring the maximum charges and maximum sentences. Sometimes the media doesn’t even report on it. There was a huge cock fighting bust in Georgia and our local news shows said nothing! I’ve not seen names or addresses published anywhere. There was a big dog fighting bust in SC (I think around Columbia) and there was maybe 1 or 2 minutes with no names, etc. of who all was arrested. It’s like law enforcement, prosecutors and media all just ignore this horrific treatment of innocent animals.

    • In Texas you have the freedom to leave dog outside with short chain. Pos governor refused to sign anything pertaining to that.

      • Unless it’s livestock it’s just more dirt to them, its an awful place for any animal

      • Texas considers all animals property, and then you have individual rights. Hence, Texas is the worst state for any animal to be respected or treated in a humane manner.

  6. When will this end!! Everyday I sign these petitions about stupid fucking people not taking care of their animals!! You don’t need an animal if you cant provide proper care!!! Enough already!!
Tougher laws not a slap on the wrist!!

  7. Monsters on our earth! Merci à ceux qui les ont libérés de cet enfer sur terre! God bless you!

  8. DO I STILL LIVE IN AMERICA, who are these monsters, AND WHY ARENT OUR LAWS PROTECTING THESE POOR DEFENSELESS ANIMALS AGAINST THESE MONSTERS, IS ANYONE ENFORCING THE LAW ANYMORE, this country is a JOKE

  9. Monica+Lee+Koski says:

So DISGUSTING!!…Scenes of horrific abuse like this appear to occur on a daily basis these days, because of our weak laws and consequences regarding the protection of animals. It is way past time to hold the abusive monsters accountable, with charges, prosecution, and penalties that actually fit the crime…no plea deals, mandatory fines, and extensive jail time should be automatically implemented for any animal abuser found guilty. To start with, there should be a legal limit on the number of animals a person is allowed to own, and then any proven animal abuser should be given a legal lifetime ban from ever being allowed around any animal ever! It is everyone’s responsibility to protect and speak up for innocent animals unable to speak for themselves.

  10. Poor animals really sick whoever did this why? what for?

  11. Véronique rybski says:

    Help for them

  12. I strongly agree with Tammy that anyone whom abuses an animal deserves the same abuse in return. People who have thrown animals out of high-rise buildings in the past deserve to be thrown to their deaths! This would be true justice and end animal cruelty worldwide.

As a cat mom, these horrible situations break my heart. I especially feel for the poor dog who was killed by other dogs in the cage.

  13. Shirlee Harris says:

    Disgusting!….there has to be karma

  14. Maria Lavorato says:

DISGUSTING BEYOND BELIEF….. MODERNIZE YOUR BARBARIC LAWS TEXAS AND SHOW HUMANITY!!!!

No name of perpetrators…why are they being protected? They should get the exact same treatment.

DO IT RIGHT WITH MAXIMUM CHARGES!! THAT SHOULD NOT BE A BIG ASK!!!! BRING HUMANITY TO YOUR STATE!

  15. Everyone who is enraged about this, so all of us, needs to really call out their home state legislators about this. Often a grassroots push by the people in your own state to change things can translate to national changes. Let all of your in-state leaders and your congressional reps know how you feel about animal abuse and what you want done. If you vote they will care a lot more than a petition from anywhere else.

  16. Torah Wolf says:

Animal abuse should be considered a first class felony punishable by 25 years minimum to life in prison… when are we going to start protecting God’s creations and nip this in the bud for good?

  17. This is unbelievable… If the judge doesn’t pass a harsh sentence then I don’t know… You all will have to take to the streets with fire and pitch forks! What else to do??? 🙁 Sad and preventable situation. Those poor animals. The stress they went through. Not right. Not fair.

  18. Shirley Lemieux says:

I can not understand why anyone would take on the responsibility of caring for numerous pets just to provide to them a life of living hell. No dog or cat deserves to be housed in a cage. Cages and Kennels were meant for transporting ONLY. Not housing. The owner of these dogs does not seem to care about providing a proper life for them and has failed miserably as a pet owner. Thank God someone came to their rescue where they can have a chance of knowing what it is like to be in a caring and loving home. I hope that the person(s) responsible will face prosecution.

  19. Deborah Dirk Halley says:

Put tbose who hoard and inflict harm and dangerous vonditions to animals. Make it happen!!

  20. Those responsible deserve nothing less in return. Fine them, jail them, lifetime ban on pets, to be checked on intermittently with no warning!
