Goal: Seek maximum penalty against couple accused of binding dogs paws and dragging it into woods.
The decaying remains of a 3-year-old dog with his paws apparently bound was discovered in a park. Surveillance video appears to show a person dragging the bound animal across the ground and abandoning him in the woods.
According to police, 45-year-old Steven Kuzyk, and 43-year-old Sharon Vert have been arrested in relation to this incident. Both are accused of failing to provide adequate care to an animal, willfully causing pain and suffering to an animal and causing death to an animal.
“Residents had reportedly located the remains of a three-year-old medium-sized, male German Shepherd/Pitbull mix that had its paws bound,” police said. They added surveillance video gathered from the area “showed a suspect dragging the dog and leaving him in the park.”
According to a police investigator Sgt. Olena Fedorovich, “The condition of the animal when the officers found it led the officers to believe that [there was] something very, very suspicious about this.”

Every time I think I have heard the worst scenario of animal cruelty something like this is reported. This is unbelievably cruel. This poor dog would have been at the mercy of any wild animal and I can’t imagine how much he would have suffered. The laws against animal cruelty need to be strengthened. I sincerely hope these people are severely punished, including jail time, and are banned from ever owning an animal again.
If they didn’t want him they could have dropped him at an animal shelter, there is just no excuse for this.

Do the same to these subhumans. May they rot outside; do the same; bind their hands together and throw them out in the woods. We need to have stiffer penalties to subhumans who do these horrible acts to animals.
I think if this was done to the dog’s abusers/killers people will finally realize that there are creeps killing animals – these jerks should be prosecuted and thrown in prison for life!!

I just don’t understand how people can be so heartless and cruel. I am crying right now. I can only imagine how the dog felt being bound, his owners dragging him, leaving him alone and unable to move, eat, drink, and die and die a slow agonizing death at the hands of a family he gave unconditional love to. Laws have to be harsher for animal cruelty cases. I don’t know the punishment the two murders will suffer but more than likely it will not compare to the agonyof death the dog endured.
Eye for an eye is needed in these cases. Any human that can do this to a poor animal does not deserve to live and should die in the same way they they made the animal suffer and die. And whomever it was that had video proof should have saved the dog by reporting it when it happened before the dog suffered and died.. So they should be punished too!
