33 Dogs and Two Children Reportedly Found With Guns, Drugs, Dog-Fighting Equipment, and No Food Deserve Justice

Target: State Attorney, Bruce Bartlett, Pinellas and Pasco Counties
Goal: Prosecute man accused of abusing 33 pit bulls and two children to the fullest extent of the law.

Thirty-three pit bulls, including multiple puppies, and two children, were reportedly rescued from a terrifying home that had guns, drugs, and no food. The man accused of this horrible abuse has been arrested and is facing possible prosecution. We are asking the prosecutor to pursue the maximum penalty in this case.

According to reports, law enforcement responded to the man’s home after they received a complaint about dogs barking at the residence. When deputies arrived at the home, they reportedly discovered countless handmade kennels in the backyard, dog-fighting equipment, guns, ammo, and cocaine. And what they didn’t find, apparently, was food for the children.

The two children, both younger than 14, were apparently in the home without food or supplies. Authorities confiscated all of the dogs, placed the children in protective services, and arrested the man suspected to be responsible for this alleged abuse.

The suspect has been charged with three dozen crimes, including felony child neglect, aggravated cruelty to animals, animal cruelty, cocaine possession and felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Unfortunately, bail was set at $157,000, but so far, the accused has been unable to post it. Justice must be served in this case.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney, Bruce Bartlett,

A man was recently arrested in your jurisdiction for the alleged abuse of 33 dogs and 2 children. According to reports, deputies responded to the man’s house after they received a noise complaint. Upon investigation, they apparently discovered evidence of dog-fighting, illegal weapons and drugs, and two children without food or supplies.

If the above allegations are true, this man should face a very lengthy prison sentence. Animal abuse and child abuse are some of the most serious crimes, and are often taken too lightly by prosecuting attorneys. Don’t allow this man to get away with these alleged crimes. Please seek the maximum penalty in this case.

Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

  5. Rose Coffey says:

There should be no problem with this “person” getting a conviction and serving prison time. How much more evidence is needed????

    • Karin Kyes says:

Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Even with sufficient evidence of animal abuse, there have been several cases where the Judge let these subhumans go home. No Jail Time! Bail should have NEVER been set for this POS. This subhuman does not deserve to breathe our air. Remember Michael Vick? He did not serve jail time for his dog fighting operation. He served time for other criminal charges but not for animal abuse. The justice system in America is shameful when it involves animal cruelty.
JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED FOR ALL ABUSED ANIMALS!

  6. Ignacio Zuniga says:

Pathetic excuse for a human being!

  7. Tammy Garman says:

    “POSSIBLE PROSECUTION”???
We have gone SO incredibly soft on people that are obviously guilty, then setting them free to do worse.
Nail this guy to the wall and make sure those children NEVER see him again.
Make sure he never gets out to harm another human and keep him from owning or going near animals
    DO YOUR JOB!

  8. The maximum is NOT enough!! This crap behavior by humans MUST STOP and our justice systems world wide BETTER “MAN UP” AND START DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!

  9. p.pucher says:

Thug assed humans need to be in jail!!!!

  10. Possible Persecution?! This scum of the earthe should be permanently eliminated from our society. Hes a danger to all people and animals!!

  11. 157,000!!! Should have been set at one million with all of those charges

  12. Monica+Lee+Koski says:

It is bad enough to neglect and abuse 33 innocent pit bulls and being involved in the pit of hell dog fighting world, but then to add the neglect and abuse of children, and the illegal possession of weapons and drugs, proves he is a criminal and danger to society!…Please ensure this dangerous monster is prosecuted to the max and removed from civilized society, with an extensive jail sentence and a ban to never allow him around any other animal or child again!

  13. boy it looks like florida is trying to keep up with texas and alabama for animal abuse. He will face POSSIBLE PROSECUTION? what the hell is that about? How many dead bodies do these asshole prosecuters and district attorneys need to lock these scumbags away for a nice long stretch. Maybe if someone starts doing these things to them or members of their families they will wake up and do something about all this garbage. let them see what us everyday average civilians and obviously these poor animals are living with. Knock down that ivory tower!

    • This happens in blue states but in red states animal abusers like this pos will most likely get away with this. We had a case where pos put cat on fire in street. This pos went to jail for RECORD SEVEN YEARS and served all 7 years. Greg Abbott had opportunity to sign bill regarding chained dogs left outside. Pos from Texas did not sign bill.

      • I agree, I don’t know why he ducked that bill. That would have been a very positive message to all these slime bags. i just don’t get how these politicians red or blue can’t see how much these animals mean to so many people. get off you shriveled up old duff and do something positive for a change. the replublicans talk a good game and then do nothing. this is why people like myself may switch to independent. both parties are FOS.

  14. truthwarrior says:

I have a suggestion, if we want real justice let’s take that jerk, put a collar on and connect it to a chain used to pull cars. Then put him outside with only a dog house, a dirty water bowl, and some scraps. POS. His fine should $1 million with a minimum 10 year sentence. This is what should be done to send a message to these JAs.

  15. MICHAEL BAVARO says:

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, “POSSIBLE” PROSECUTION. THIS MORON NEEDS TO BE LOCKED UP FORWEVER.

  16. Shirley Lemieux says:

Glad to see that the suspect was charged on multiple counts. I hope the Prosecutors in this case does not provide leniency to any of the charges or by dropping charges. Suspect deserves to be convicted on all of them.

  17. Maria Lavorato says:

THIS IS A DOG FIGHTING RING….SO MAXIMUM PENALTIES MUST BE ISSUED! JAIL HIM AND BAN HIM FOR LIFE FROM HAVING ANY ANIMAL! PLEASE DON’T DROP ANY ANY ANY CHARGES….THIS PERSON IS WITHOUT HUMANITY.

Please don’t euthanize these little pit bulls. They are innocent….. They were constantly barking because they were asking for help. The little pits saved the children as well…so save them.

  18. B Hoover says:

Please prosecute to the fullest extent of the law

  19. WHY SHOULD THERE BE ANY CONSIDERATION ABOUT PROSECUTION? THIS IS BLATANTLY CRIMINAL. WITHOUT STRINGENT LAWS, ABUSE WILL CONTINUE BEING PERPETRATED AGAINST THE VULNERABLE AND INNOCENT.
