Workers who discovered the dog restrained her safely and rushed her to Brewster Veterinary Hospital. Medical staff carefully cut away the adhesive and provided emergency wound care, anti-inflammatory treatment, and hydration. The Putnam County SPCA classified the incident as aggravated animal cruelty, but investigators currently have no description of the person or vehicle connected to the dog’s abandonment.
