Pets Allegedly Abandoned Without Food or Water Demand Maximum Penalties

Target: Frédéric Veaux, Director General, French National Police

Goal: Pursue maximum penalties against any individuals found to have abandoned pets inside a locked apartment without food or water.

A disturbing abandonment investigation intensified after two cats and a rabbit were reportedly discovered trapped inside a locked apartment without access to food or water for several days. Rescue personnel reportedly found the animals suffering from dehydration, severe stress, and physical deterioration before emergency treatment could begin.

Authorities are currently using rental records and digital evidence to locate the former tenants connected to the apartment. Animal welfare organizations are assisting investigators by documenting the reported medical effects of prolonged deprivation and confinement on the rescued animals.

The case has drawn significant attention because France recently strengthened anti-abandonment laws carrying potential prison sentences and substantial financial penalties. If substantiated, these allegations would represent deliberate abandonment causing unnecessary suffering to dependent animals trapped without means of survival.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Director General Veaux,

Authorities have made allegations involving pets abandoned inside a locked apartment without adequate food or water for several days. Rescuers reportedly found the animals dehydrated, distressed, and physically weakened before emergency treatment began.

Investigators are currently reviewing rental agreements and digital records while attempting to identify the individuals connected to the apartment. If proven, the alleged conduct would represent severe abandonment and neglect causing prolonged suffering.

We urge your office to pursue maximum penalties under France’s strengthened anti-abandonment laws against any individuals found responsible.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
