Cats Allegedly Abandoned to Starve: Seek Justice

Target: José P. Garza, District Attorney of Travis County, Texas

Goal: Prosecute the 13 animal cruelty counts against the suspect allegedly responsible for abandoning cats.

Police filed 13 counts of animal cruelty after 15 cats were allegedly found inside a vacated apartment filled with debris, standing water and animal waste. Neighbors alerted authorities after noticing a foul odor.

Two cats were reportedly found dead, and a third was euthanized due to critical condition. The remaining cats were reportedly severely malnourished and affected by prolonged confinement without care.

Abandoning animals inside a sealed environment can lead to starvation, dehydration and death.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear DA Garza,

Reports indicate that 15 cats were discovered inside a vacated apartment filled with waste and debris. Two were allegedly dead, and another was euthanized due to critical condition.

The surviving cats were reportedly severely malnourished after prolonged confinement without care. These allegations describe abandonment in which animals were left without food, water or escape.

We respectfully urge your office to pursue all 13 charges if the evidence supports prosecution. Each animal represents a separate case of apparent suffering.

Please seek penalties that reflect the alleged abandonment and include safeguards against future ownership where permitted.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]
