The treatment of these dogs are horrible, but in all honesty the dogs with rocks in their stomachs may not be the owners fault. I worked for a veterinarian for 11 years and we had a Bassett Hound that made a habit of eating rocks. This dog wasn’t mistreated or malnourished. The owners paid good money for surgery on their dog multiple times. They just couldn’t break him from eating rocks 😪
It says that the dogs were found to be dehydrated, emaciated, and infested with parasites and fleas! So in this case not exactly taken care of! So it is obvious that they were seriously neglected and forgotten about— yes?? So there is no excuse for their owners who could not give a toss about their animals. No doubt ‘drugged up’ or stinking drunk and forgot they had animals to look after, and it seems obvious that the only reason ‘these’ dogs were eating stones was a last resort to stay alive! So NO excuses for these animal torturing bastards who deserve the same treatment or moreso. These motherfucks are NOT needed on our planet.

Oh read the petition details for God’s sake before you spout a load of nonsense. The dogs DID NOT HAVE OWNERS! They were found in a so called rescue centre where they were being neglected and abused. Oh and FYI a good way to stop a dog eating rocks is to ban the dog having access to rocks, get it?

An animal rescue is supposed to RESCUE animals from suboptimal conditions and improve their outcomes so they can be adopted. If this rescue is guilty of the charges, then they should no longer be allowed to be operational and those in charge should be dealt with harshly! The dogs that were in their care deserve justice!! Jail time, fees to pay the cost of the dog’s medical care, and NEVER be allowed to operate an animal rescue AND NEVER be allowed to own or care for a dog, EVER!!
