Target: Elk County, PA District Attorney’s Office
Goal: Ensure that appropriate punishment is enforced against the owner of Shearly Pawfect Pets for the alleged abuse of a dog.
In Elk County, a disturbing incident has emerged involving the owner of Shearly Pawfect Pets, Michelle Carpin, who has been cited for animal cruelty following the release of a viral video. The footage reportedly shows Carpin holding a dog down and sweeping its legs from under it, actions that have raised serious concerns about her treatment of the animals in her care. This citation for “intentionally, knowingly or recklessly ill-treating” an animal is critical evidence that highlights a potential pattern of abusive behavior that should not go unchecked.
Investigations by the Saint Marys Police Department were opened after the video circulated, revealing shocking evidence of Carpin’s alleged mistreatment of a vulnerable animal. A former employee captured this disturbing footage, which seemingly reflects an alarming disregard for the well-being of the dog involved. A $474.75 fine, while a start, appears inadequate when taking into account the gravity of the alleged acts. The community deserves assurance that such behavior will not be tolerated and that all animals will be protected from potential cruelty.
It is imperative that the Elk County District Attorney’s Office takes this matter seriously by imposing strict penalties that reflect the severity of this alleged abuse. The demand for justice is not only about accountability for a single incident; it represents a broader commitment to ensuring the safety and humane treatment of all animals. It is vital to establish a precedent that abuse in any form is unacceptable and will carry appropriate consequences.
PETITION LETTER:
Dear Elk County District Attorney’s Office,
Recent reports regarding the owner of Shearly Pawfect Pets, Michelle Carpin, have raised significant alarm within the community. A viral video allegedly documenting her physically restraining a dog and sweeping its legs out from under it is shocking. This footage, taken by a former employee, apparently showcases a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of the animals entrusted to her care. Such actions, as cited in the official documentation, suggest a troubling case of animal cruelty that demands a serious response.
The citation issued to Ms. Carpin for “intentionally, knowingly or recklessly ill-treating” an animal is a step toward addressing these allegations. However, the fine of $474.75 does not adequately reflect the severity of the alleged misconduct. As members of a compassionate community, it is essential to ensure that those who engage in abusive behavior toward animals are held accountable for their actions. A robust and meaningful response is necessary to deter future instances of cruelty and to protect other animals that may be at risk.
We urge the Elk County District Attorney’s Office to pursue appropriate legal actions that convey the seriousness of these allegations and ensure justice for the alleged victim of this incident. It is crucial to send a clear message that animal cruelty, in any form, will not be tolerated.
Sincerely,
[Your Name Here]

The chances of this being a one time incident are nil, if she did this to one pet she’s done it to others and with no accountability she will do it again. Take her business license away and ban her from animal involved enterprises for life; abusers do not change.
Yeh, I sure would like to sweep the bastards legs from under her. but— I would have a nice hefty round iron bar to help me!! And whilst the bugger was pushing herself around in a wheelchair, she may just reflect why she is in this position! These pieces of shit must be made to realise that animal abuse and torture WILL NOT be tolerated.
And as for the scared and weak Judges and prosecutors, these are the ‘slappy-wristy’ fools who dish out these stupid NON-SENTENCES, who certainly need a taste of what these innocent animals are subjected to! I am doubly sure the tossers would soon change their minds and sentence these bastards accordingly!!!

These self appointed dog groomers need to be flushed out as they seem to be ‘legally’ enjoying the suffering that they impose on innocent animals. Not just so-called vets but slaughter houses ( should be named murder houses) as that is what they are.
How about the supposed dog groomers as mentioned above. Not all but many who enjoy making the dogs yelp and cry out whilst forcing the combs through matted hair instead of using gentler treatment or a larger spaced comb!! Punching and hitting them if they do not stand still. Pulling the restraint very tightly around the dogs throat whilst it is on the grooming table! How do I know? I used to do voluntary work at one or two of these establishments. Even the supposed world famous CRUFTS have horrendous cruelty that goes on behind the scenes if the innocent dog does not perform correctly. And yet again here, the great God MONEY rules all.
Animal abuse, torture and murder is world wide. The only way to put a dent in any of this is for designated Vigilante groups to operate across the globe. This has got to happen, although hopefully it may be happening right now. An ‘eye for an eye’ justice must prevail.
