With the country’s economy collapsing and nearly 40% of the population living on less than $2.15 per day, many animals are being abandoned and left to suffer on the streets. The shelters are overwhelmed, with resources stretched thin as they try to care for hundreds of neglected animals.
Immediate action is needed to address this humanitarian crisis affecting innocent animals like Aurora. Strengthening and enforcing animal welfare laws can help prevent such cruelty and ensure that animals receive the care and protection they deserve. Demand that the authorities take decisive steps to protect animals from neglect and abuse.
