Cat Trapped in Ice Cream Freezer for 14 Hours Deserves Justice

Target: Gali Baharav Miara, Attorney General of Israel

Goal: Ensure grocery store owner convicted of freezing cat for 14 hours receives the maximum penalty.

A deeply troubling case of animal cruelty has surfaced in Ashdod, where a grocery store owner was convicted of capturing a stray cat and placing it in a freezer for 14 hours. The cat was trapped in an ice cream freezer, enduring extreme cold temperatures that caused severe frostbite and immense suffering. Despite the defendant’s claims that he was unaware of the cruelty involved, the court rejected his defense, recognizing that the prolonged confinement in such harsh conditions amounted to torture and abuse.

The defendant admitted that he had been frustrated by the cat’s presence in his grocery store, citing damage to his business and fear from his employees. However, his decision to place the cat in the freezer, leading to significant physical harm, is a clear violation of the Animal Abuse Law and appears to reflect a total disregard for the welfare of animals. Veterinary experts confirmed that the cat suffered greatly, with its legs frozen to the point of severe frostbite.

The court has yet to issue a sentence, but it is imperative that the maximum penalties under the law be imposed. Ensure strict legal consequences to deter such acts of cruelty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Gali Baharav Miara,

I am writing to express my deep concern over the recent conviction of an Ashdod grocery store owner for trapping a stray cat in a freezer for 14 hours, resulting in severe frostbite and immense suffering for the animal. Such a heinous act of cruelty is a clear violation of the Animal Abuse Law and represents an extreme lack of compassion and responsibility toward animals.

The defendant’s actions, which included placing the cat in a running ice cream freezer, caused prolonged and unnecessary pain to a helpless animal. Despite multiple warnings from veterinary experts about the physical damage the cat endured, the defendant continued to claim ignorance of the cruelty involved. This case of abuse is both morally and ethically reprehensible, and it is essential that justice is served.

As you prepare to sentence the defendant, I urge you to impose the maximum penalty allowed under the law. Animal cruelty must be met with strong legal consequences to send a clear message that such inhumane treatment will not be tolerated. It is vital that we protect the most vulnerable in our society, including animals, and ensure that those who harm them are held fully accountable.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

Genesis, what failures are you spitting out?

  6. This guy should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and never allowed near an animal ever again!!!!!!!! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THIS GUY?????????!!!!!!!!!G

    • WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THIS GUY you say???? I think you should say, WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THE USELESS JUDICIAL SYSTEM!!! This arrogant stupid piece of shit will get a ‘naughty boy’ telling off and do not do it again!! THAT’S IT!!! Case closed!! Useless prats all of them.
Well, we all know just what this animal torturing bastard wants. Although I doubt he would want what I and many others would love to give him!!
These pricks need to be subjected to the same fate so they can then see it is NOT funny!!!
We all leave our submissions here ‘BUT’ I have yet to see if they really ARE any use as I have never yet on this site seen any mention of these buggers getting lawful punishment or otherwise!!
Are we wasting our time? Animal Victory site informs of detailed court cases which makes people feel better knowing that the tow rags are at least getting back some of what they deserve.
Just wondered if anyone else feels the same?

  7. That poor creature that was probably starving and seeking any food source. The owner could have called Animal Control and humanely solved the problem of such intrusions. While I am relieved this pitiable kitty survived, I am horrified that anyone would be so vicious. Humans have to be the cruelest of all species on earth. It shames me to be one. Animals only harm or kill for survival and often treat other species better. Prosecute to the maximum please.

  8. If the defendant still doesn’t understand how cruel this was or that it would cause great harm and suffering, shut him in the freezer for 14 hours. Then perhaps he will understand.

  9. Goodness. Cruelty against both animals and humans. Israeli soldiers were seen shooting people’s pets in Gaza. This is all so shocking and disgraceful. No morals or self-awareness. Just cruelty and abuse in that land. It needs to stop.

  10. JoAnn Thornton Alberson says:

another third world country of animal abuse where nothing is done to stop it .. the person that did this needs to be placed in the freezer longer than they left this poor cat in there

  11. Death penalty for bastard abuser, coward! Justice for cat.
