Justice for Karma, Pit Bull Shot and Abandoned

Target: Harold F. Pryor, Broward County State Attorney, Florida

Goal: Find and punish those responsible for the severe abuse and shooting of Karma, the pit bull.

In January, the Lauderhill Fire Rescue discovered a distressing scene: Karma, a pit bull, tied up in front of their station, severely abused and overbred. The dog, suffering from parasites and a grave uterine infection, was left to die in unimaginable pain. This first account serves as a call to action to address this grave injustice and seek punitive measures against the alleged perpetrators.

Karma’s journey through recovery revealed even more horrific details; X-rays showed a bullet fragment lodged in her jaw, evidence of a prior shooting that left her struggling with infections and constant discomfort. The relentless efforts of i Heart Animal Rescue and the compassion of a foster caregiver, Jessie Paige, gave Karma a fighting chance, highlighting the stark contrast between the cruelty she faced and the humanity shown by her rescuers.

The severity of Karma’s condition and the apparent malicious intent behind her injuries demand a strong legal response. This petition urges for the strict enforcement of animal cruelty laws and seeks justice for Karma. Advocate for these voiceless victims and ensure that the perpetrators face the full extent of the law when found.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear State Attorney Harold F. Pryor,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of Karma, a pit bull who has suffered tremendously due to severe abuse and a shooting incident. In January, Karma was found abandoned in a dire state, indicative of gross negligence and malevolence. Her condition upon discovery, combined with subsequent medical findings, including a bullet fragment in her jaw, paints a clear picture of the alleged atrocities she endured.

The community’s response, led by i Heart Animal Rescue and supported by the Brady Hunter Foundation, showcases a collective effort to heal and advocate for Karma. However, the care and compassion demonstrated by these individuals also underscore the urgent need for legal action. We must ensure that such acts of cruelty are not met with silence but with the full force of justice.

Thus, we urge you to investigate and prosecute those allegedly responsible for harming Karma. It is crucial to set a precedent that animal abuse is a serious crime that will be met with stringent legal repercussions. We implore you to take immediate action and help us ensure that Karma’s suffering was not in vain and that justice is served.

Sincerely,

  1. Where is any legal action? Karma has been extremely harmed, evens got, but no medical attention was given. This case needs an investigation and when the perps are found they need to face a jury of their peers. These people get away with murder and seemingly no one cares. We seem to be living in a time of similar to the lawless bad lands prior to the law coming into being.. To see an animal hurt and realize how she suffered is horrendous. Her name is what these vile people will have to face. Karma is pay back for harm to those who do the harm must live the intense harm & pain in future lives, over and over again until their debt is paid. Let’s hope they do so they can suffer as this poor dog suffered. They deserve no less!

  2. Jail the creeps

  3. there is no legal action, that is the root cause of this tragedy and the others like it. i would like to see them hang personally but if long prison time is the option i have to live with so be it. unfortunately that never happens. a ten dollar fine and a slap on the wrist will solve nothing, it just empowers these scumbags more.
