Justice for Animals Allegedly Beaten With Iron Rods

Target: Edappadi K Palaniswami, Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board

Goal: Ensure legal punishment for individuals involved in the alleged animal mistreatment.

At Sangamithra Farm in Coimbatore, an apparent scene of animal mistreatment was unearthed, sparking widespread outrage and a call for justice. A raid led by the Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board (TNAWB), following multiple complaints, seemingly revealed animals in deplorable conditions, allegedly suffering from neglect and abuse. Two camels, four horses, two donkeys, a dog, and two puppies were apparently in dire straits, with three camels missing and one reported dead due to neglect. These disturbing facts demand immediate legal action against those responsible.

Further investigation into this case uncovered unsettling evidence. Videos surfaced showing farm workers allegedly striking camels with iron rods, highlighting the apparent cruelty these animals faced. The response from officials was swift, with immediate orders to seize the animals and provide them with emergency care and treatment. This apparent evidence of animal cruelty underlines the need for stringent legal measures to ensure such atrocities are not repeated.

This petition calls for the Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board’s Director to take decisive legal action against those allegedly responsible for the mistreatment of animals at Sangamithra Farm. The harrowing conditions and abuse these animals reportedly endured must not go unpunished. We demand justice and a strong message that such cruelty will not be tolerated.

I hope also that some billboards will be put up about animal abuse and that it will not be tolerated. There is a lot of animal abuse in India, so shameful that it brings me to tears. I don’t know why people think to beat an animal will make it work harder, it is crazy. Compassion is always the answer! Animals have helped us for centuries, but its not their job! They weren’t meant to work morning, noon, and night! Give them a break, don’t ever hurt them!

  2. I think people take out their anger on those who can’t fight back because they live in countries that allow them few rights.the world has to change for the better for all sentient beings.A pox on all abusers.
