Dogs Allegedly Locked at Home for 6 Months Deserves Justice

Target: Mr. Amit Talwar, Commissioner of Police in Amritsar, Punjab, India

Goal: Thoroughly investigate case of animal cruelty involving man who allegedly left his two pet dogs to suffer and die unattended for six months.

A shocking incident of animal cruelty has emerged from Amritsar, Punjab. Dr. PS Bedi, a resident of Block A of Ranjit Avenue, has been accused of abandoning his two pet dogs in a locked parking space at his house for six months while he traveled to Canada. The dogs were reportedly subjected to extreme heat, lack of ventilation, and insufficient food, resulting in one dog fainting and the other being infected by maggots.

Reports indicate that Dr. Bedi had entrusted the care of the dogs to his brother, who failed to adequately provide for their needs. When the Animal Welfare and Care Service Foundation (AWCSF) intervened, Dr. Bedi’s brother allegedly opposed the rescue and treatment of the dogs, exacerbating their suffering. The AWCSF subsequently involved the police to ensure immediate action.

The police have registered an FIR under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act, 1960, indicating the seriousness of the allegations and the need for a thorough investigation. Demand action now.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Talwar,

We write to express our profound concern and outrage regarding the alleged incident of animal cruelty involving Dr. PS Bedi and his two pet dogs in Amritsar, Punjab. The alleged act of abandoning the dogs for six months, leading to their severe suffering and deteriorating health, is both appalling and unacceptable.

The alleged abandonment and neglect of the dogs by Dr. PS Bedi is a clear violation of ethical principles and the Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act, 1960. Animals deserve our compassion, care, and protection, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that acts of cruelty are met with swift and severe consequences.

We entrust you with the responsibility of upholding justice and compassion. We urge you to take firm action and ensure that this case is treated with the utmost seriousness, bringing justice for the dogs who suffered unimaginable pain and neglect.

  1. I hope that a vigilante would lock this cruel and heartless monster in a dark room without food and water for 6 months. Prison in this case is too good for him.

  2. India is not an animal friendly place and the fact that this coward had no trouble doing this (like it’s an everyday event) proves how clueless they all are about animal welfare and sentient beings. Horror stories abound in India and it’s one reason my tourist dollars will never be found there, they do not care. Until the Indian authorities step up and make stronger, better laws and then actually enforce them they will just be another third world country.

  3. There is absolutely no reason or excuse for treating any living beings in this manner. I hope the dogs can overcome this adversity and cruel treatment and find another home to live in and hopefully surrounded by love.

  4. This scumbag animal abuser requires instigation of the dweath penalty.

  5. I couldn’t be more angry.Stupid evil bastard should die.

Too bad no one had the ‘balls’ to kill that assasin on the spot and then report the crime

Why not subject that ‘stinky’ son of a bitch to the same cruel treatment in hopes that he will die?
