Protect Orangutans From Deforestation and Poaching

Target: Mr. Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia

Goal: Protect the orangutan from habitat loss and poaching to ensure their survival and promote biodiversity conservation.

The orangutan, one of the closest relatives of humans, is a critically endangered species in Indonesia due to habitat loss and poaching. Deforestation caused by palm oil plantations and logging, along with illegal hunting and trading, have drastically reduced their population and degraded their habitat.

It is crucial that immediate action be taken to protect the habitat of the orangutan and prevent their extinction. This requires the implementation of stronger laws and regulations to prevent deforestation and hunting, as well as the promotion of sustainable development and alternative livelihoods for local communities.

Through stronger laws and regulations, sustainable development, and alternative livelihoods, we can protect the habitat of the orangutan and ensure their survival. By protecting the habitat of the orangutan, we can also promote biodiversity conservation and preserve the ecosystem services that benefit both humans and wildlife. Demand President Widodo to take immediate action and support this critical initiative.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Mr. Widodo,

I am writing to urge you to protect the habitat of the orangutan in Indonesia from habitat loss and poaching. The orangutan is a critically endangered species, and their population has drastically decreased due to deforestation and hunting, which have degraded their habitat.

To address this issue, we need to implement stronger laws and regulations to prevent deforestation and hunting, promote sustainable development, and provide alternative livelihoods for local communities. By doing so, we can protect the habitat of the orangutan and prevent their extinction.

We urge you to take immediate action and support efforts to protect the habitat of the orangutan and promote biodiversity conservation in Indonesia. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue.

Sincerely,
