Target: Pearland Police Chief Randy Garner
Goal: Find person who locked dog’s mouth shut with plastic tie.
A dog was found in a church parking lot with a plastic tie wrapped so tightly around his muzzle that his teeth and tongue were visible from outside his mouth. Fortunately, a good Samaritan found the dog, named Nicholas, and brought him home.
“You could see his teeth, his tongue everything from the outside of his mouth,” said Kourtney Crenshaw, programs manager for Houston PetSet. “That’s how bad the wounds around his muzzle were.”
“He seemed kind of depressed and when you would touch him or pet him he would act a little scared,” Crenshaw added.
The original rescuer removed the plastic tie from around Nicholas’ snout, but became alarmed when his condition did not improve. At this point, the rescuer called a local pet rescue agency which came to the aid.
Nicolas’ wounds were infected and “he wasn’t able to eat very much and he wasn’t able to get food into his mouth, he probably had weeks [to live] at the most,” PetSet Co-President Tena Lundquist Faust said. “I was heartbroken. I can not imagine the pain that dog had endured and the suffering.”
While Nicolas is now on the road to recovery, the person responsible for his nightmarish condition is still on the loose.

To end this abuse is to have more cameras in parking lots. Churches need to have cameras as well as apartments, shopping malls, to at least give these criminals some concern for doing this deed. Society has dominion over animals not domination. It say that in the Bible. We must respect animals, all animals! Abusers are not people. Animal abuse needs to be a felony in EVERY STATE. A strong felony. Abusers need to be fined, houses taken, and the charge never expunged as well as prison. The same goes for teens, even first time offenders. Why? Facts have shown they will do it again, moving on to people. These offenders are weak as they prey on animals, children, and women. Like the song says … Bless the beast and the children for in this world they have no voice, they have no choice. This is a constant problem and courts need to help the victims not the abusers!!!!!!!!!! This may be the only way to stop these brutalities from happening over and over again. I have no mercy for animal abuse.
OMG this poor beautiful Animal.
Whoever did this needs to be tortured to death… Evil bastards, get them out of society.
FOR HEAVENS SAKE, WHY OH WHY DO SUCH EVIL, WICKED, CRUEL, ABHORANT PEOPLE WALK THIS EARTH? DISGUSTING IS BEING POLITE.
FIND AND PUNISH TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE WHOEVER DID THIS TO AN INNOCENT, TRUSTING ANIMAL.
THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE SORTED OUT AND NOW, NOT IN WEEKS, MONTHS, YEARS TIME. GET ON WITH IT AND DO YOUR JOB.
Dogs are our unconditionally loving and loyal family members friends that deserve our unconditional love and loyalty in a safe and sound home with plenty of food and water to be nurtured and nourished!
THIS IS HORRIBLE INHUMANE TERRIBLE!
We all will die if animals die since we live with and off animals to survive animals have every right to live safe and sound just like us and how God wanted and willed them to without human unneeded horribly, inhumanely, and terribly killing, destroying, and murdering them all for the sake of greed of men who have no right doing this to innocent animals!
