Calls for justice mounted after a Nebraska dog lost her life in a brutal fashion at the hands of her caretaker. This ForceChange petition called attention to the horrid act of animal cruelty. Now this innocent animal has finally received needed justice.
The suspect in the case, Khaleem Baringer, viciously pummeled his pet dog Mary Jane with a baseball bat because she defecated on the floor. When the defenseless animal ran away to hide in a bathtub, Baringer followed her into the bathroom and continued hitting his dog. Even after the savage assault, this dog still managed to survive….until the suspect returned to the room a third time, grabbed the frightened animal, and then stabbed her to death. Police later found Mary Jane buried, with a broken skull.
Baringer has been convicted of felony animal cruelty and now faces up to three years of prison time. Sign the petition below to support justice being delivered in this sick incident.

I think any inmate who kills another inmate, one that’s in there for animal cruelty, should have 50% of his sentence knocked off for doing a good deed.

It’s a start at three years but not nearly enough. The pup most likely had to relieve herself because she wasn’t let out or walked by this murderer. I say an eye for an eye. I agree! Absolutely horrible! My dog threw up on the floor once and when I came home from work, she acted guilty like she did something wrong (she is a rescue doggo) and I had to comfort her because she thought she was bad. She watched as I cleaned it up and we just went on with our day. Accidents happen. That POS doesn’t deserve to be breathing, poor dog.

3 years is not long enough in my eyes however he might be met by someone in jail who hates animal cruelty so with a bit of luck they will beat the shit out of him. I hope he never walks again.
3 years? You call that justice!!!??????? What is this tells me is that Man is a very sick individual who clearly has severe mental issues and is extremely violent. I hope the Judge looks at his criminal history and has a full psychiatric evaluation done on him, there is no telling what he will be capable of when he gets out, what else has he done or is he capable of. No more pain and suffering for this dog, but what this little angel went through is unimaginable. WHO was with him when he did this, they obviously new about it to report the incident. I hope the judge has enough sense to ban this POS for life from ever having another animal. That is just as important, if not more so than the max sentence. We desperately need a national registry for every animal abuser, just like child abusers. So it sticks with them for life, no matter where they move within the US, it was always follow them.

CHANGE THE LAWS! This person and any person who uses violence or causes death to an animal must be punished.. We need to petition our representatives to CHANGE THE LAWS to protect the innocent..
