Calls for justice mounted after a Nebraska dog lost her life in a brutal fashion at the hands of her caretaker. This ForceChange petition called attention to the horrid act of animal cruelty. Now this innocent animal has finally received needed justice.
The suspect in the case, Khaleem Baringer, viciously pummeled his pet dog Mary Jane with a baseball bat because she defecated on the floor. When the defenseless animal ran away to hide in a bathtub, Baringer followed her into the bathroom and continued hitting his dog. Even after the savage assault, this dog still managed to survive….until the suspect returned to the room a third time, grabbed the frightened animal, and then stabbed her to death. Police later found Mary Jane buried, with a broken skull.
Baringer has been convicted of felony animal cruelty and now faces up to three years of prison time. Sign the petition below to support justice being delivered in this sick incident.

My only thought about this subhuman being is that justice will be meted out quickly and probably savagely once he is behind bars. The prisoners have their form of judge and jury. Certain prisoners very likely had dogs in their sad childhoods and these animals were their only means of unconditional love. Now this scumbag walks in, after having beaten and stabbed his dog for something he was very at fault, not taking her for a walk (!?!!!). I can imagine justice will be quickly served

I strongly agree with everyone. This low life monster deserves to be beaten and stabbed to death! He should have let the dog out to do her business. He is at fault, not poor Mary Jane. I am so sick of these hateful monsters hurting and killing their own fur babies — this makes it worse!
I just wish we could prevent these monsters from getting pets in the first place. God needs to look out for his creatures because there never seems to be a human around at the right time to prevent this cruelty.

It is essential that this individual also receive a life ban from adopting or owning another animal. That is a must.
I would also hope he receives mandatory psychiatric care (preferably at his own expense) and community service. He should have a lengthy parole of at least 5 yrs.
And, as much as I appreciate the conviction, the sentence is painfully minimal considering the horrific cruelty and gruesome death he inflicted onto a defenseless dog. This substantiates the need for mandatory sentencing guidelines.

It is demanded that Governor Ricketts institute a much strickter sentence for abusers of defenseless animals!! The Federal Animal Cruelty Law was passed in Nov, 2019 for punishment up to ‘seven’ years in prison. Please sentence this individual to the FULL SEVEN YEARS!! Karma is real!!
