Calls for justice mounted after a Nebraska dog lost her life in a brutal fashion at the hands of her caretaker. This ForceChange petition called attention to the horrid act of animal cruelty. Now this innocent animal has finally received needed justice.
The suspect in the case, Khaleem Baringer, viciously pummeled his pet dog Mary Jane with a baseball bat because she defecated on the floor. When the defenseless animal ran away to hide in a bathtub, Baringer followed her into the bathroom and continued hitting his dog. Even after the savage assault, this dog still managed to survive….until the suspect returned to the room a third time, grabbed the frightened animal, and then stabbed her to death. Police later found Mary Jane buried, with a broken skull.
Baringer has been convicted of felony animal cruelty and now faces up to three years of prison time. Sign the petition below to support justice being delivered in this sick incident.

Please pursue the greatest penalty for this murder. This dog needs justice. If we don’t pursue it on their behalf, nobody else will. This dog deserved to live a happy healthy life. To me, this killer deserves much more than 3 years prison.

Three years is certainly not enough for the crime he committed. I pray the judge hands down more years and to never own an animal again. This poor defenseless pup probably relieved themselves on the floor b/c he probably scared the dog and threatened to harm.

Poor defenseless dog. It was a freaking crime!!, and that despicable coward only got 3 years? Yes, 3 is better than a $50 fine or no time at all, but the punishment DOES NOT fit the crime. What are they teaching lawyers and judges in schools? There has to be JUSTICE FOR ALL, not just for humans. Unsure what planet this baby law is on. Three years is a joke. This is a slap in the face of Justice. That to kill after all the suffering pior to death. The seconds of enduring pain before death ended this horrible pain. That three years is Justice. I pity any future animal to die with only Justice given is three years.
