Goal: Support animal cruelty conviction that carries upwards of a three-year prison sentence.
Calls for justice mounted after a Nebraska dog lost her life in a brutal fashion at the hands of her caretaker. This ForceChange petition called attention to the horrid act of animal cruelty. Now this innocent animal has finally received needed justice.
The suspect in the case, Khaleem Baringer, viciously pummeled his pet dog Mary Jane with a baseball bat because she defecated on the floor. When the defenseless animal ran away to hide in a bathtub, Baringer followed her into the bathroom and continued hitting his dog. Even after the savage assault, this dog still managed to survive….until the suspect returned to the room a third time, grabbed the frightened animal, and then stabbed her to death. Police later found Mary Jane buried, with a broken skull.
Baringer has been convicted of felony animal cruelty and now faces up to three years of prison time. Sign the petition below to support justice being delivered in this sick incident.

Up to three years?! And this is justice? It doesn’t even come close. If this despicable sociopathic monster did this to another human, he would be in prison for life. The other animals on this planet have little, if any, protection under our laws. I read one horrific story after another—day after day—and never has justice been served, never has the punishment fit the crime for these most innocent vulnerable victims. Never. In fact, most of these monsters get off with a small fine, a mere slap on the wrist. (I will be shocked if this particular POS serves anywhere near the three years.) A National database, available to the public, of all individuals convicted of animal cruelty would help to ensure in the future that no animal be placed in the hands of an animal beater and killer. Thank you for convicting Khaleem Baringer of Felony animal cruelty. May he spend the maximum sentence for this horrific crime.
Any so called “human being” who can be this cruel and hateful to an innocent animal should AUTOMATICALLY serve jail time. 3 years is not really enough but it is better than nothing. Also, 3 years will give this guy time to prove his strength and how manly he is when bullying the other inmates (like THAT’S going to happen)!
