Goal: Punish the man who allegedly starved two dogs, leading to the death of one.
One dog reportedly starved to death and a puppy suffered from malnutrition when they were allegedly neglected by a dog sitter. The suspect reportedly agreed to watch his roommate’s dog while he was deployed and then stopped checking on the animal. Demand justice for these innocent dogs.
Hercules, a blue nose pit bull, reportedly arrived at an emergency veterinary clinic in such poor health that he had to be euthanized. The dog suffered from severe malnutrition, per veterinarians, and his ribs and hips were clearly visible through his coat. Hercules had reportedly been under the care of 23-year-old Anthony Matthew Ward while his owner was deployed. An 8-month-old shepherd-pit bull mix named Roscoe also reportedly suffered starvation under Ward’s care, but he was rescued by Panhandle Animal Welfare Society and has since recovered.
Ward has been charged with one count of felony cruelty to animals and one count of misdemeanor cruelty to animals. Sign below and demand that he receive the maximum penalty possible, if convicted.

Dear State Attorney Eddins,
The photos are shocking. A blue nose pit bull, known as Hercules, seemingly lies upon an exam table with his ribs, hips, and other bones fully visible through his thin coat. He suffered severe malnutrition due to prolonged starvation and neglect, veterinarians stated, and his dog sitter has been charged with felony animal cruelty. Hercules’ owner apparently entrusted him to Anthony Matthew Ward during his deployment and the poor animal has since been euthanized to ease his suffering. Ward also had a shepherd-pit-bull mix puppy in his care and that dog reportedly showed signs of malnutrition as well.
These innocent animals suffered for a prolonged period of time and the person responsible for this cruelty must be punished. I demand that you prosecute this case and seek the maximum penalty possible for the person convicted of this dog’s fatal neglect.
