A dog was shot 15 times with a pellet gun and tortured with a shoelace in a shocking case of animal cruelty. The person responsible is still at large. Demand justice for this poor dog.
The Harris County Precinct 5 Constables Office has opened an animal cruelty investigation after rescuers found a stray dog wandering around an apartment complex with a swollen head. A thorough veterinary exam showed that the dog, named Gus by rescuers, had been shot 15 times with a pellet gun and he had a shoelace tied tightly around his neck. The shoelace caused a serious wound to Gus’ neck and damaged his trachea and organs.
Gus has undergone several surgeries at the Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic and he is expected to recover. Houston K-911, a local rescue, is caring for Gus throughout his treatment. Sign below and demand that the person responsible for his suffering is charged with animal cruelty and assigned the maximum penalty possible.

I am demanding justice for Gus, the stray dog who was apparently tortured by an unknown assailant.
The Harris County Precinct 5 Constables Office is investigating after finding this poor dog with a swollen head and a body riddled with pellets. Rescuers noticed him wandering around an apartment complex with what appeared to be a severe wound on his neck. An exam revealed that a shoelace had been tied around Gus’ neck for an extended period of time, causing serious wounds to his skin, trachea, and organs. Gus has undergone multiple life-saving surgeries at the Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic and Houston K-911, a local rescue, has overseen his care.
The person responsible for this cruelty is still at large. I demand that you charge this person with animal cruelty and seek the maximum penalty possible.

First of all I hope Gus has a speedy recovery. I don’t believe this dog was a stray . the person or persons who abused this sweet dog has ownership. Most likely some young punk. Law enforcement please find this monster and prosecute him to fullest exstent of the law and it still won’t be enough.
I agree with Derinda, I think whoever owned him did it and if they find out who did it should do the same to him and see how he would like it, let him walk around town in pain like this like this poor dog had to do. People are so so cruel!

I am normally a peaceful person. However, I have reached a point where I am absolutely sickened by these stories. What does it take for legislatures to say ENOUGH? Lock up these monsters and throw away the key and hope the same fate awaits them in prison. Maybe this is what it takes to deter the rest of the evil to think twice —

We need to start teaching kids from a young age to treat animals with compassion. And that they feel pain, hunger, cold, hot and get thirsty just like us

Normal children do not do this sort of thing. Only sick children. These sick children grow up to do terrible things to people. They are sick, they are dusturbed, and you can’t make them well.
They must be locked up for the rest of their life. They can not be rehabilitated.
