Don’t Let Police Kill Heroic Dog Who Saved Owners From Attack

Target: Chief Constable Andy Marsh, Avon and Somerset Police, Bristol, United Kingdom

Goal: Ensure that Kylo the dog is not put down by police after protecting his owners from an angry and violent mob.

A Staffie/Labrador mix named Kylo saved the lives of his owners in Bristol, UK, and now may be put down by the police. Kylo’s owners, an unnamed couple in their twenties, were attacked by a mob of 20 men when their faithful dog came to the rescue. The attack occurred at the couple’s home—the men reportedly believed it was the home of a pedophile to whom they intended to send their angry and brutal message. Despite the fact that he no longer lived there, the mob did not stop their violence and brutality. They attacked the couple instead.

The thugs spat on the 24-year-old woman and beat the 25-year-old man, breaking his nose and a rib, before Kylo managed to run them off. However, in the aftermath, Kylo was unable to distinguish that the police who arrived were trying to help, and allegedly bit two of the officers. Police have now seized him and are threatening to put him down. Kylo is a hero who saved his family. Sign below to demand that his life be spared.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Chief Constable Marsh,

A Bristol couple was attacked by an angry and violent mob, and their lives were saved by their dog, Kylo. The attackers, heedless of the fact that their true target no longer lived at the house that now belongs to the couple, spat on the woman and laid into the man, breaking his nose and ribs. Kylo ran them off, but in the confusion that followed Kylo—unable to tell that police were not another threat—allegedly bit two officers. Now, Kylo has been taken by your police force, who want to put him down.

Kylo is a hero who saved an innocent couple from violence. He could not have known that the police were there to help. This dog and his owners should not be punished with such cruel finality for their bravery in the face of brutality and violence. I urge you to ensure that Kylo is not put down, and is returned to his owners.

Sincerely,

  1. What on earth is wrong in this world??? Killllllingg killing only thing on barbaric demonic humans minds. Be thankful dog did the work of useless policemen who ate never there to protect public.
DO NOT KILL THAT INNOCENT ANIMAL HE IS WORTH FAR MORE THAN USELESS POLICEMEN ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!

  2. please leave this poor dog alone and return the dog to his family. people go out get dogs to love and use for protection. It is not the dog’s fault that the police are too stupid to understand this. the police should go out and arrest the perpetrators of this criminal act of violence. for this act of negligence, the police should be criminalized. the dog was just acting out of a love for his family and not any wrongdoing.

How moronic!!! How cruel, stupid, and WRONG! Leave the very brave Kylo alone. The police should be taught that injuries from animals and humans may very well occur in their line of work. The energy should be exerted on punishing the guilty humans for their crimes. Kylo was just doing his job. Do not kill the dog!! Use some common sense!

  4. What? Are you stupid that dog helped his family out why would you put a GOOD dog down?? Police dogs bite also and do they put them down??? LEAVE THE DOGS ESPECIALLY PIT BULLS OR CROSSES ITS THE OTHER END OF THE LEASH THAT IS THE PROBLEM PEOPLE!!!!

  5. Rita McNany says:

    This dog is a hero!

  6. This is another riduculous act by law enforcement. THIS DOG WAS PROTECTING HIS HUMANS WHOM HAD JUST BEEN ASSAULTED IN FRONT IF HIM!!!! He was still in that state of mind that is normal for a dog following an event like that one. Instead of wasting their time making a big fuss over the family dog, they should have been on the heels of these thugs who assaulted the dog owners!!!! THERE IS ONLY ONE THING TO. THE RIGHT AND COMPASSION THING OF QUICKLY RETURNING THE POOR DOG TO HIS FAMILY. IMMEDIATELY!!!!

  7. David Hunter says:

When the police target the protector of the couple against such a hateful attack just because of a mistake, then there is something very wrong. If the dog in question had been a K9 that had made such mistake, then I have no doubt that a little retraining and all would be well. This dog is nothing short of a hero in protecting his family from a hate crime by a mob that was out of control- it’s very possible he saved his family’s life and this is the reward he gets. Kylo should be returned to his family and the police should turn their attention to the mob who are the criminals, not the victims.

  8. why they do not punish who they have to punish?
The dog is the only innocent in this mess

  9. ANDY MARSH THE WORLD IS WATCHING YOU.
YOU ALL KNOW THIS DOG WAS PROTECTING ITS OWNERS. THIS SOUNDS LOKE AN EXCUSE TO KILL A DOG.
TIME TO CALL THE LOCAL NEWS STATIONS AND SHOW THE WORLD HOW SMALL MINDED AND SICK THIS IS.
    WE WILL NOT DOWN.
    THIS IS SHAMEFUL

  10. What is this world coming to this poor dog being punished for showing its love for its owner .the police should be ashamed theyre disgusting .leave the heroic dog alone

Matarlo por defender a su familia ??
    Una locura.

It was a great thing that Kylo protected his owners like that,it could have been a lot worse. He should be rewarded. It is unfortunate that officers got bitten. Kylo was just doing what he is supposed to do. He doesn’t know officer’s are helping his owner.

  13. Linda Marie Goby says:

First of all I’d like to say that is one brave dog for saving his owner! That group of idiots Probably would have killed the man if he had not attacked them. He was protecting his human and that is what a dog does. He is obviously a very loyal dog and loves his owner. Having worked in a vet clinic for over 12 years I can imagine what this dog went thru.. he had just gone thru a very high stressed situation and the group of thugs probably kicked him and attacked him also and this would lead him to be very defensive and on guard for his owner. When the Police arrived he was still on alert and in defense mode and thought that they were going to harm his owner again. Dogs unfortunately do not distinguish between uniforms etc and given what had just happened to him he was still being reactive. If we could talk to them and they could understand he would never have attacked. This is A very sad situation and the boy should not be put down for saving his owner.. he was doing his job and under normal circumstances he would never have done it.. and I can guarantee that. if there has never been a incident with him before and this beating had not happened then he would have been fine. This was A reactive and defensive bite and if you put yourselves in this dogs place you can understand this. He does not deserve this and the police should not even be thinking about this. please think about this before you give him a death sentence and don’t do it.

    • Mary-Lou Trumphour says:

Please……….the dog was looking after his BEST FRIEND,
WHY????would you punish him for that?
God bless this loyal pet…think about it, if only the dog could speak.
That’s why we MUST speak for them…the dog did nothing wrong BUT try to help his owner.
      PLEASE don’t punish the dog.
Kylo was looking after his human best friend.
He needs to be loved for what he did….THINK first, don’t be so fast to put an innocent animal down.
Even the police officer should know…that Kylo thought it was still the attackers.

  14. Maria Bertrand says:

If you even contemplate hurting Kylo you are SICK. NO BRAINER stop wasting everyone’s time, when the right answer is staring you in the FACE. AND NEVER FORGET KARMA….

  15. Curt Flanders says:

What the flying fuck is going on in this world? Cruelty, brutality, injustice, and inhumanity. Tell the police to piss off and die.

  16. Heather Brophy says:

Kylo the dog was doing his job just like police do their job PROTECTING. Kylo made a mistake and bit a cop, a cop (not this one) makes a mistake and kills someone, why should Kylo die?! NOT RIGHT!!

  17. LAW ENFORCEMENT: PLEASE REALIZE THAT THIS GOOD DOG WAS ONLY PROTECTING HIS FAMILY AT THAT TIME. They had just been assaulted right in front of the dog. Most all dogs will act this way immediately following such an incident. PLEASE RETURN KYLO TO HIS FAMILY AND CARRY ON WITH ARRESTING THE THUGS WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE HORRIBLE MESS. PLEASE!!!

  18. 2 cops got bitten and they want to kill this dog? That’s just part of the job, pick a different career or grow some balls

  19. This dog is a “Hero” and was just protecting his family!!! Kylo needs to be released back to his owners. They have suffered enough and Kylo should immediately be with his family. The police & justice system need to use their common sense… let this dog go home!!!
